Hi All, forgive me if this question has already been asked but I am looking at adding an Icon AAL mini pack and Archive Garage U-Bolt flip kit with super bumps to my 2017 TRD OR. The goal is to remove the stock overload spring and switch to a progressive design to get better ride quality (super bumps are going to be a welcome addition too).

I have a set of Fox TRD Pro 2.5’s takeoffs out back, looking at the specs of the TRD 2.5’s and the Fox 2.5’s in the @AccuTune Offroad stage 3 kit the shocks look almost identical for length and stroke (I could be wrong here) but this is the info I could find:

    TRD 2.5's
    Extended Length: 23.43”
    Collapsed Length: 14.06”
    Stroke: 9.37”

    Fox 2.5’s
    Extended Length: 25.02”
    Collapsed Length: 15.65”
    Stroke: 9.37”

With the TRD shocks is it possible to run the AAL mini pack and the u-bolt flip kit? I don’t want to loose ride quality or capability (the truck tows often) and I don’t want to damage the shocks by adding hight.

    Any information is appreciated.

    Thanks

Update: This setup has served me well over the past few months, I have not noticed anything weird with the ride or in performance. Biggest problem is the clearance between the E-break line and the leafs. Icon really needs to put new brackets in the kit as the old ones are cut off during installation. Luckily @ryan20021982 has a solution: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...line-brackets-icon-deaver-old-man-emu.716616/

Wish these brackets existed before I took a chunk out of the passenger shock. You can also add a longer bolt and some washers to the frame break line mount for extra clearance.

    Awesome info, thanks!

No issues with shock damage/overextension, from added height from spring??

None that I can tell, Fox shocks are designed to be more or less a limiter for the rear. I don't jump the truck or anything crazy so if you do then your milage may vary. Now what I have seen is a little bit of oil out of the res caps on both side but it's a really small amount and a known problem with these shocks. That being said, I am planning to replace with Fox 2.5's in the late summer or fall (paycheck permitting).
