Doesn't matter if it's Taco or whatever. Anything these days are not built for the abuse off-road gives them.

Even the beloved 79 series. May be bulletproof reliability wise but still take so much money to get them to the level we're used to seeing them as.

That’s where I ended up running mine, followed the frame then up behind the left tail lamp. Was the very first mod I did on the truck

I ran mine to the driver's side cubby in the bed. Figure I can access easily if I ever need to.

I watch a dipshit on YouTube do it...simple process...although this guy made it look like rocket science.
If my truck ever gets that deep there are more issues that where I put the diff breather!!!

How come you guys don't run the ARB breather and mount it behind tailights?

and where do you guys go for bmc?

I will say though that there are better vehicles out of the box. Jeep, the zr2 and even the raptor all come to mind.
Again, talking about offroad performance out of the box and not about longevity or quality here. Like you said, money is always needed to be spent in this game. Regardless of what you buy. Half the fun in a sense.

Looked at the ARB, it was 100$ + shipping. The same thing can be achieve for like $25 when you acquire the stuff yourself.

Scored a tiregate and a full size rack for the truck today. And 4 winter tires on rims for a ranger. Paid the guy $200 . Had to take the rims and tires as part of the deal. If anyone wants them, you can have them. 2 tires are pooches and 2 have at least 2 more seasons on them.Screenshot_20201214-064829_Facebook.jpg

The bellows-style breather doesn't work well according to these reports:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-for-dummies-pics.15686/page-43#post-15998844
    https://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=74409.0
    https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/axle-breather-creeper-breather.341422/
Ran some rough calculations earlier: The diff oil (and therefore the air in the diff housing) can reach over 100C. Assuming the air starts at -10C (easily reached in Canadian winters), then the volume expansion is 373/263-1 = 42%. Rear diff oil capacity is 2.95L. Since the fill plug is about half-way up the housing, we can estimate about the same amount of air is in there. That means the bellows would have to expand by 2.95x42% = 1.24L to avoid pressurizing the diff housing. Clearly the part is too small to do that.

well I don't know and I'm not that smart to figure it out. But what I do know is March 2019 is when I got the truck and around August/September after I came back from Labrador I started to "do mods" and put that on and never had a problem and no water has entered the diff. Fingers crossed its still working for me....:fingerscrossed:

wow I read those posts and I'm scratching my head hear. Don't know what to say....

maybe there are more people that have or are using them that don't say anything...
    oh well life goes on....

    Since i'm under.the truck......

Its more about blowing your seals out I think.

If it can not let enough air out, your seals will compensate for that
