You can TOTALLY run 255x80x17 on your stock wheels and stock suspension with ZERO rubbing. They look AWESOME, ride smooth and very little road noise with the S/T MAXX by Cooper tires. I put them on my 2020 Cement trd sport 4x4 and couldn't be more pleased. Big thanks to Brett in Athens, Al. He posted it first and I followed. Thanks dude! Thank you Tacoma world for helping me find the source. 20210111_163910.jpg 20210111_155821.jpg 20210111_155821.jpg

Do you have a picture of the truck on level ground with a little more light? I'm seriously thinking of doing this with my truck, but I'd like to see the side view better so I can see how much of the wheel well is filled up. If that makes sense. Lol

Being that the tires are approximately 3” larger in diameter than stock, they increased the height of the truck by about 1.5”. By adding the tires to the truck, did the truck look/feel like it was lifted a bit?

Here's a couple more pics. Hope they help. To recap, all stock suspension and stock wheels 17" , no lift or leveling and absolutely no rubbing. I did a full side shot, up close front wheel well and front on shot. Let me know if you need more.

It absolutely looks and feels lifted. The first time I stepped out of it I noticed it was higher. With that being said, I returned the lift kit I had already purchased. I'm really diggin the way it looks.

Looks awesome! 255's are my favorite and what I wanted but when my tire shop put in my order, they thought I misspoke and ordered me the Taco Standard 265's. This stance is such a better look IMO!

    Looks good!

255s are awesome. It probably would not rub in on-road driving which is where we do the most of our driving , but if you were on an incline and turning, like at full lock either way on rocks or uneven ground is where there is probability for rubbing.

    Wow these look good.
How have the tires been treating you? Still no rubbing? I have the exact same truck on order now and trying to decide between this size and 265/70r17. Thanks!
