Also installed a switch that provides power to nothing at the moment. The plan is to install a relay to interrupt the yaw sensor under the seat as a traction control killer I can leave always on or always off as needed.

Did the electrical plug on your ZZP pump feel loose? Mine was not snug and it felt like the "nubbies" weren't tall enough for the clips to clip onto. I can tug the harness off as it never clips into place. I've notified ZZP and need to send them a video of said problem.

I actually had a slightly upgraded Bosch pump and upgraded the upgraded pump with the ZZP.

The second Bosch I installed came with a nicer connector that I had never used that fit perfectly in the ZZP so I wired that up to the plug going to the Bussman. I never even tried the stock plug and wiring with the ZZP.

That's a bummer about the plug as it's definitely not something you want ever coming loose.

Pretty sure this is the connector I received with the prior Bosch pump. Might be worth a try.

Thanks for the link to the plug! That may be useful since I'm not expecting ZZP to have a solution. In the meantime, I zipped a tie-wrap around the plug so it "squeezes" the clamps tight.

Nice install. I saved the link to that connector, I'm considering getting two of these to replace my two stock pumps. Although since I must already be 80% more flow than stock it's not a priority.

I wonder where the line for maximum flow rate is where it gets so fast that the coolant itself can't lose heat quick enough and saturates? It's most likely a much faster flow rate.

Let me know if you have plans on creating and selling that Headlight Fluid fill cap. Laughed really hard and now I want one!

It came free with my Clutchmasters Hydro bearing WHICH I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

However, I believe they sell the caps on their own and they were customizable. Ask them and it's likely they can belt one out for you since they did mine. Send the pic of mine to them if you want the same design or they may have it on file.

The cap is a nicely built billet piece.

I just found this thread and honestly can't understand all of what you’re doing (still trying to learn about the mechanics of cars) but this looks so cool! I love your attention to detail (removing the visor warnings, changing the gauges, etc.) and how you’re making everything looks clean.

I'll be following this thread and looking forward to your updates. You should post a video of this truck ripping down a street some time!

    Thanks for the kind words!

At times I think my engine bay looks like a mad scientists project (so many zip ties in there) but I do try to make my mods look as clean as possible.

I have been wanting to do a vid but haven't gotten around to it yet as I was having a couple of minor issues that are sorted out. Maybe I'll get my boy in the backseat holding the phone and filming one of these days lol. Just had a rainy day drive to get groceries with traction control off and swung a couple of mean and borderline scary drifts lol and the truck felt really good.

If you have any questions ask away, here or elsewhere in Tacomaworld. Especially in the performance and build sections of TW people are generally very helpful and a great resource. I also use the search function all the time when I need info on projects I'm working on or things that interest me.

I did and then deleted it because I wasn't sure if I overstepped my bounds. Was asking about what you do at the diamond mine (you don't have to answer).

You decide on a SC yet?

Ah yea I thought it was asking about the diamond mind and what I do there....

Nah I don't mind telling you some, I don't think anyone on this forum is going to drive to YK and stalk me lol...….. I did my mech engineering technology at Nait and I work in the project development and commissioning group. Just the smaller on-site projects that we don't need to hire consultants for. It's pretty good, I don't mind it and it's about as good a job as you can get up here for a young guy

I think you said you're EI tech, that's a pretty good job at least from what I know of the guys we have employed here.... what are you up to now? Working somewhere near Cgy?

Yea I am definitely leaning towards getting that Maggy. Seems like more instant torque than the URD kit..... I think I'd rather have that than upper end HP

i';ve been trolling the main SC thread, still shy about posting questions on there but I read through the whole first page and it just makes it even more tempting that's for sure...…….

That does sound like a good gig you have going on up there. What kind of mining/extraction process?

Yah I'm a fig (sure you've heard the term) lol. Work has been harder to come by and the wages got neutered so badly, especially for being away from home so much that I've become daddy daycare to our son instead of having him in daycare. He starts kindergarten in Sept though so I'll have to get going on something.

Been unsuccessfully looking at alternate careers but have been slacking as of late. It's surprisingly hard to break into other trades even with the skills I have.

Lol I've heard that before, you f***ing guys....

We have several open pits that we mine from right now, there was an underground operation as well but that ended before I started working there.... there's a train of crushers including a hot water crusher and the diamond is separated by flocculants and then XRF to finally pick them all out. Cool process if you ask me...… Hopefully there's nothing proprietary in what I just typed lol

Ah yea, well being a dad is a good job too.... sounds like he's a good age

Tough time everywhere to break into a new career I think, there's some grants avaliable up here but not sure about the rest of Canada

I believe the term is those "fucking instrument guys" lol. Or figlets. Use that one on some of your instrument coworkers.

That sound surprising to me that flocculant is used to separate the diamonds. I'm guessing it binds to and removes the dirt? Is diamond dust collected as part of the process?

It's been fun being with the boy, we are joined at the hip lol. It's not easy keeping the little bastard busy all the time as he seems to have the energy to power a small city. Definitely appreciate the time we've been able to spend together though.

Right, I guess I should be more specific.... we scrub it in several stages using chemicals and flocculants to get rid of the dust and grit, then further sepration using a mudlike mixture that simulates a high-density fluid, so that the diamonds float and everything else sinks, then on to xrf after that

Yea we do collect the diamond materal of all sizes and then sell it based on size. Diamond dust is in the 500 nanometer to 5 micron range... we don't get a lot of it relatively speaking so not a big part of revenue, and not picked up by xrf so it's got a bit of contamination.... the companies we sell to have to further scrub it as far as I understand

Nice, yea I'd be interested in kids one day sounds like it'd be a ton of fun, I know enough kids who have that endless energy... I was like that too.... good that you guys get all the bonding time

Thanks for answering my questions! Very interesting process.

Crazy to think of the idea of floating diamonds.
