I had one... never ran right from new but ran for 10 years like that.... I took the air filter housing off one day and found the o-ring split causing an air leak :-/ got it out this spring and now the carb is clogged...it’s a heavy curved shaft trimmer... always hates the ladies trimmer addition and now I have a reason to rid of it!!!

 

I had a Stihl, 4 stroke that he to have oil mixed. I didn’t like it, had no low end torque and the handle was too fat and it hurt my hand after a while. Sold it and bought a Shindaiwa 2 stroke which is an Echo, I like it.

 

I have a ryobi straight shaft that my dad gave me last year... got the quick load head on it... cut 2 pieces of string the same length and thread it through ... works great until the string decides to fly out and then I find myself chasing it around the yard so now I’m in a dilemma .... by a new trimmer for myself or find a stringer head for the ryobi... cheaper that way and it runs good after I cleaned the carb

 

I've got 2 Husqvarna weedeaters. Bought one in 1988 and a 2020 commercial model . Good weedeater line is a must. Both fire right up.

 

Husqvarna makes good ones too, had one for many years before finally wearing it out.

 

I bought the thickest I could find at the time .095 which says on the trimmer... stuff still flies out when ya get into heavy stuff or blip the throttle a couple times

 

Yeah, may be time for a new spring loaded head. We have a bunch of monkey grass and my wife likes it trimmed back every winter. Man i will be covered from head to toe with that crap ,but that Husky will wear it out.

 

That was my reasoning when I bought my first mower and edger back around 2014. Now that I have other tools that are 2-stroke I bought a Stihl trimmer to replace the 4-stroke.

The Stihl 2-stroke trimmer is way lighter that the 4-stroke trimmer.

PSA: don't do this. It worked, but I don't advocate it. Took wayyyy too much effort to get this truck in the air to put a smaller block in the rear.

 

Sitting in a 'house' when turkey hunting?? That ain't right. Should have a tree to your back sitting in weeds, with a tick crawling across your nose. DON'T MOVE!!

 

Alrighty, 3:30 am and new lowering blocks are in, with the new u-bolts tightened to 80ftlbs. Had to get a little hands on with the custom mounted brake lines... but it all sits well and doesn't rub. Time to throw the tires on and see how it looks two inches taller! It may not be tucking the rear wheels anymore, but that's just fine with me.

 

Some of my best hunting shots at deer was out of my Bedroom window long long ago.

 

Nearly 6 am, and the URD short throw shifter is about to be installed! Prep work for next weekends autocross is coming along nicely.

Edit: a half hour later and it's in! Now to let the rtv setup and then give it a try! Just shifting the gears while sitting still, it's so much better.

 

We sat on the ground yesterday morning and this morning. He got cold this morning so we came home. Didn’t hear any gobble on the roost yesterday or today, not sure where they went or why they got quiet.

 

They were at your store eating all the sunflower seeds. Empty rack now.
