    Hey guys!

sooo two months after buying my taco I get rear-ended by some chick going 40 and texting and driving.
I got my truck out of the body shop today and they did a lot for me. But on the way home I still noticed the one thing that was bothering me after the crash and it sounds like something is vibrating/rattling when I’m idling. It kind of sounds like tire rub (deeper sound) but it’s coming from the rear passenger side (where I was hit). I’m gonna try to get a video with audio if I can to see if y’all can help me figure out what it might be.
It’s just weird because I have no problems when I’m driving, only idling!

I would check to make sure spare tire is secure.

    Sorry about the truck

Check the spare tire is it up all the way?

Glad your rig is back together. Turn the truck on in park, or neutral, and hop on the ground. Crawl around, and see if you can pinpoint where it's coming from while it's running would be my suggestion. Could be an exhaust heat shield? Spare tire as suggested above is also a good spot to look.

Okay so I tried everything y’all told me, I tightened down the spare the most I could (it may have been a little loose????? Ever so slight) and will report back on that. But I can’t hear the noise all of the time. It seems to be a little intermittent. After driving and not while I’m just in park. I’m thinking it could be mechanical? Or I’m high af and it’s just the exhaust vibrating on the mudflap. Trying to figure it out but seeing what others have to say on the matter so I can keep an eye out!

I believe it is! I tightened it up just a tad but not sure if that’s it what’s causing the vibration (as it is a pretty intense vibration).
