It's up to that person to know who they are buying from. Don't sweat it. I gave up on trying to make people aware. There are people selling other people STOCK TUNES. May sound harsh but it's their own fault for trying to buy it dirt cheap and not doing any research.

It's like trying to buy life saving medicine from the guy in the alley with no pants on in a rain coat.

if there is someone you see selling tunes for less than the price of credits, then send us an email about it. We crack down on anyone circumventing licensing and take it very seriously.

The lack of pants is what allows him to keep his prices so low -- no overhead.

it's funny but really not. Someone bought one of those behind the alley flashes, and then asked me to refund them because they don't know what they actually bought. Crazy world.

anyways the reason I am here is I wanted to post here as well that flash kit upgrade emails are going out next week if anyone is watching this thread. (If you already have VF Tuner this is irrelevant)

The biggest, easiest question to ask is about future support. Know those details before you buy.

Personally for my folks, it's free if we can keep it easy and / or convenient. I've reflashed a few folks a few times. I've also reached out to folks when I have had an update. NBD.

That is some funny shit! And yet, so true.

Mathew and I are on it now. I hope to be back up flashing again soon, @Shellshock

I appreciate your assistance, too. I'll put it all in my password manager from now on.

LoL! Be careful there. I had mine in a password manager, but when I set up my account on the vF Tuner Forum, it over wrote it since the URLs were the same. Hahaha!

We got it worked out though.

I would imagine original order number and name would get you squared away.

If you're talking about the FM Replacement, your original order number is helpful, but as long as you send the Zendesk ticket from the email address that you ordered with, @OVTune can link you up.

Also, if you register an account on vFTuner.com with that email address, it will show your order history:

@OVTune - Mat I could really use a new reset from ticket#26605 - maybe even the pwd reset to so I can leave you alone for a while. I am never gonna make it to this new PC.

    Hey @OVTune

So there's been a ton of people hitting read.. I think I figured out why..

on page 20 of the instructions (bundled with 1.2.9.9.8), it says "read" here as the first step when you connect to your truck. It should say "Prepare ECU" here.

the screenshots are correct, but the wording in the instructions in incorrect.
