    Sorry Brother. But at least you took your shot, and have one helluva a story to show & tell about it. : thumbsup:

    Hope you find ample diversions to fill your time for six weeks; and that your ankle heals well and proper.

    On the surgery aspect ... I've got bone spurs in my heel from an achilles tendon tear injury I never knew about, Doc diagnosed from MRI pics. I expect it happened same time I injured my knee and had it repaired 20 years ago. Any way my point is, Doc prescribed heel inserts, never go barefoot, and pay attention to proper footwear that cushions heel well. She told me then that operating on may only make it worse and paying attention to wearing proper footwear was my best option to avoid it. She told me Dan Marino's achilles tendon tear is what ultimately ended his career (although he played 6 more years after the injury). Her point was he could afford any Doc in the world, but they still couldn't make that tendon good.
