Hello! I’m new to Tacoma’s and trying to decide between the 2021 Sport and Off-road models, while trying to keep price below $40k. It seems to be matching fender color and hood scoop on the Sport vs locking differential on the Off-road. I’ve been messing around with the build your own at Toyota.com and the prices were identical. Kind of surprised that Sport isn’t less money when MSRP starts lower. Oh the problems, lol !!

If you’re going to build and order one, I’d highly suggest the LED headlight package for less than $500, those things will run you $1500 if you decide to upgrade after the purchase and you’ll have to monkey around with aftermarket harnesses.

Thanks for responding. The $1285 technology pkg has the LED headlights and LED fog lights as part of that package. Hopefully, I can get the price down a bit but probably not $35k, haha!

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
If you plan to do much offroading, I suggest getting the Offroad. You get the larger diff and locker. You can always get a scooped hood and paint matched flares, etc later if that's what you like. If you are mostly on road and light offroad then it really doesn't matter. Buy why you like most. :hattip:

Go with the OR if it's the same cost. Locker could be useful to you and is a good selling point at resale time.
