Clean inner door padding

Anyone have a good way to clean the inner door padding? Mine just looks dirty from dirt or something. I can’t seem to get it out.

 

Spray bottle of water and a soft brush then a towel

Tuff stuff is the way to go, unless it's just dust of some sort (gravel road, etc). If it's not a real "stain" I'd just wet a paint brush with some APC and brush it, then spray more APC directly and wipe it off with a microfiber.

Edit: APC is short for all purpose cleaner. Anything mild like an "interior cleaning" spray, or even a basic water and small bit of automotive soap mix in a spray bottle.

 

I’ve never found anything that works. Tried all the foaming and brushing stuff and whatnot. Whatever Toyota uses for that fabric, it holds onto mud forever.

 

that area sucks.. if i get rain drops on it it shows until i wipe it off.

 

I use 303 on everything.

 

Chemical Brothers interior cleaner has been working for me. But that area gets dirty pretty fast.

 

Did you buy your Tacoma used?
It might be ladies makeup. That will be next to impossible to take off.

 

Haha no. I have no idea how it got there. Probably just dirt from camping or something. I must be the problem though as my wife’s side is nice and clean.

 

A good brush is what you need. They sell some car cleaner spray with a scrubber on it's cap at advanced auto parts. I've used it before and works well. The brush is big time necessary

 

Is having fabric there one of the "upgrades" you get on a higher tier Tacoma? My SR just has the vinyl/pleather stuff there on the door.

 

My OR is just a rubberized textured material.

 

Yeah I’ve got dog slobber all over that area... Haven’t tried anything besides a damp towel yet. Our janitor at work swears that shaving cream is the best carpet cleaner.

Sounds like the same stuff on my OR. I've just not seen a taco with the fabric there. Then again, I don't make a habit out of going around a parking lot and peering into other people's trucks either...........................or do I?

 

spray water on it and vacuum it out. I would suggest finding nice car wash because they usually have vacuums that are powerful enough to extract. Or get an extractor because that'll work for sure

 

i don't either except when i try to open the wrong white tacoma and then i see that is not my stuff inside.

 

hahahaha. I've not had that issue with mine. Yet to see a blacked out Tacoma AC with method wheels and a demello aluminum winch bumper anywhere I've been in the last few years.

I've done that with my corolla though. Generic looking silver corolla hatchback. Now I always hit the unlock button before I grab the handle just to make sure I'm at the right one
