This has been a great thread, thanks to all the replies!

I'm thinking of ditching my cupping and poor wearing 255/85/16 ST Maxx's. Time to call my local @Discount Tire and see if they can hook me up with a good price for the at3w's!

I've got a set on my 2016 TRD Sport and just hit 56K on them. Absolutely love them. No issues whatsoever with them. They run great especially here in the northeast in the winter time. It's getting close to replacement time so I'm hoping that @Discount Tire can shoot me a PM to help with the purchase. Thanks.

We’re about to go to OBX in a couple months. I have 265 75 16’s. What’s a good tire pressure for driving on the beach? I was thinking around 18 psi. Am I in the ballpark or should I go higher or lower?

    Couple Questions...

I read another thread that was from about three years ago where people were having a hard time getting these tires to balance. Is that still much of an issue? Maybe there was an off batch of tires?

If I go with 265 75 16's and my stock suspension on 2019 DCLB OR, will I need to trim or remove my stock mud flaps?

I am going to be in the market for my first set of new tires on my 2019 taco and am pretty sure I will get the Wildpeaks (although I havent 100% ruled out Coopers). I'm debating between the stock size 265 70 16 and the 265 75 16. Most driving is on pavement; but we have enough snow and ice in WV to make it interesting. I do find myself on Forest Service roads and in the occasional dicey remote areas where I want to have decent tires just in case.

I put the wildpeaks on my '20 OR around September/October and have had zero balancing issues. Actually I was looking at these or the KO2's, but heard the KO2's were having balancing issues from my local shop. Plus the wildpeaks were about $50 cheaper per tire.

I went with the 265 75 16s and don't have any rubbing problems with my stock suspension.

On my '15 Sport I had the Cooper AT3's and would hands down get the wildpeaks over the coopers again. I took my truck out in the little bit of snow we got this past winter in Richmond and didn't need to use 4wd bc of the grip the wildpeaks had.

    Hope this helps!

Put 265/75/16 wildpeaks (p-load) on my stock '20 DCLB OR after about 500 miles of driving. ONLY issue...truck drives and handles better now. Stock tires are garbage.

Are the 10 ply Wildpeaks worth the extra weight for the durability you get? I'm thinking of puncture protection or chance of getting a flat tire on a remote forest service road or logging road compared against the cost and loss of fuel efficiency. Comparatively speaking, off roading is a very small percentage of my driving. And I don't do any sort of rock crawling on purpose. Maybe if I get in a ditch or encounter a bad patch of washed out road where I can't turn around and retreat, which is fairly rare. I do tow my sxs and occasionally haul a load of firewood...and sometimes both in the same trip. Winter ice/snow traction is a definite need, so the P rated tires with the additional silica in the rubber might get an edge there. Anyway, if I go with larger tires in order to get 10 ply LT tires, then I also have to get a spare, which adds to the cost. As I'm typing this, I'm starting to talk myself into the stock size 265 70 16 P-rated tires... unless I can see a good reason to do otherwise.

Why can Falken just offer the 10-ply tires in 265 70 16?

I assume the stock OR tires are P rated tires.

I’d say if your rarely off roading then 10 ply isn’t much of a necessity. If it were me, I’d stick to the P rated and call it a day. They’ll serve you well for what it seems like your looking for.
