I doubt the paint will hold up to use on the handle. You would be better off buying black handles IMO.

It doesn't bother me from your photo, but given you made this thread I think it bothers you, so get some black ones.

Did you paint the a-pillar cover? I didn't realize those came in black. The oh shit handle being grey definitely looks odd and out of place on the black pillar cover. But, I agree with the OP that paint will not hold up all that well on that material (because it's pliable and is a high wear item from being touched by your hand often). If you do paint it I'd try a good automotive vinyl/plastic paint, not just regular paint.

Since you already painted the A pillar might as well make them match.

    Rub some dirt on it.

Doesn't bother me at all. Flip a coin, then you will find out how you really feel. I'm guessing you'd rather them be black. Do what makes you happy.

Love the suggestions ! Seems like most say to go black... I used SEM color coat. Good plastic paint. And bulldog adhesive, then clear coat. Seems durable enough to paint. Didn't know I could get the a pillars in black.

Yes to black handles, no to painted black handles. Unless you rarely use them, I feel they will wear and start to look rough quickly. If the cost of some black handles isn't prohibitive, better to do it right the first time than to do double work.

Another option is to paint them then paracord wrap them (as someone stated above) so that you don't directly contact the paint with oils and such from your skin.
