My mirror isn't a stand alone mirror. I have back-up camera built in that has electric running through the top of the glass into the upholstered ceiling. The birddawg seems to be for standard mirrors. I hope im wrong though!

Ah. Mine has wires for the other functions to include auto dimming. The wires are just concealed under a plastic cover on mine. Cover gets removed and excess wire gets tucked into the head liner.

I believe this problem could be pressure, weight vibration and heat related

The bracket extends upward with no other point of contact only the OEM mount plate

Adjusting your mirror or normal driving vibrations add applied forces down through the extended mount

The mirror and mount become like a torque wrench adding multiplied pressure to the OEM mount plate

Over time the glass around the OEM mount plate becomes weak and breaks do to all the forces at work against it

Adding glue/tape to the upper portion of the extended mount will help to control this problem but may not eliminate it altogether

    It's still a handy mod

But be aware of this unfortunate problem

I had the glass shop glue me a new mounting bracket roughly at the same height of the BirdDawg bracket. Install was included with the cost of replacing my entire windhsield, so other shops might charge you a bit.

I had the Immryo version on my truck for 7 years with no ill effects and I’ve seen no failures discussed here. This failure seems specific to the Birddog version

Anything to make the front seats more comfortable.
Does anyone know if there are any alternatives that are for sale? Or any 3d printing options?
