I've attempted to fix the bathroom numerous times. The grout keeps coming up and out and there is always one tile that gets loose

The only tile I have is a ~20 sq ft section of the mud room and the steps from the garage to that room. The tiles have come loose in the garage a few times and I just use construction adhesive to reattach them because they're in a garage so they don't need to look pretty, just need to hold.

That mud room is carpet other than the small tile section and I think eventually I'd like to do 50/50, leave carpet for on the side my office area and have some sort of flooring for the space that you actually walk through. Continuing the tile that is there would look good, but I think if I did it myself it would end up looking awful.

Ironically, perfectionism is a great thing for that application..so says my dad.

And definitely re the membrane. My hallway to the bathroom does that because I didn't lay down a membrane..the grout keeps breaking. UGH. Just keep fixing it b/c I'm not going to tear up the floor.

If you want to learn how to grout, come on up!

Tiling really isn’t hard and it isn’t great for a perfectionist. You need to get the substrate right, but the grout will cover a lot of sins.

Here it is mid-wash. Looks bad now but it will all clean up. Tiling and grouting those inlaid nooks is a complete pain in the ass but I did it as easy as I could be using a single piece for the back and each of the sides to minimize grout joints.

this is the backup truck. Nothing wrong with it minus the overall condition. Good amount of undercarriage rust for a low mileage 2013. Lots of small scratches everywhere else.
    At least this one ran.
I called the day prior and made an appointment to look at a 2013 Tacoma at Westboro Toyota. I get there at the appointment time and they have to “find the truck.” (It’s in the front row of the lot).
The salesman then informs me we cannot drive it since it hasn’t been through a safety inspection. Keep in mind, it’s been detailed and covered in armor-all and is front row of their main sales lot. Once I get it in, it won’t start. The two different alarm systems had the engine immobilized and wouldn’t let it start.

In this market, if the price is right and it's what you want jump on it. I'd spend a weekend doing some rust removal and get some rust reformer and paint on it. Then wool wax or fluid film often.
I just use mine as a comparison because it's older used and abused. Bought as a work truck and DD. Never garaged, washed only for maintenance and usually park on job sites that stay muddy forever. ( Lots of fun after hours. We do stupid shit).I would just have to think there's better out there. Good luck

Also, while finally attempting to catch up on all these TW happenings figured it was also worth sharing...my BIL just got a brand new Ram Rebel. That's a b-e-a-utiful truck. Makes me want a new vehicle too! Think it actually may be the most powerful car/truck I've driven (which I guess for some isn't saying much) but with the Hemi it was fun to drive around this morning when they came to visit and see the baby today.

I would check the VIN and see if it's part of the bulletin for the frame inspection/spray before purchasing. If so, make sure it's been done or that you have time to get it done.

I am on the fence about it. A $25,000 truck shouldn’t have a big dent in the side of the bed. They were confident that they could fix it for me

do I need to call Toyota for more information? Neither trucks I looked at had received the Toyota Crc treatment

Easy fix for the dent. Pops a dent. But make sure they are eligible for Toyota crc

What’s that, like paintless dent removal?

Yeah, same thing.. Hot glue and a slide hammer or other pulling devices. I've got pretty good over the years:anonymous:.

I absolutely would call with the VIN. If it was eligible for the inspect/CRC and didn't get done in the timeframe, you're SOL if it rots. Not sure what that timetable is for the 2013

Someone mentioned that process to me last week. I have a dent on the side of the truck that irritates me and may look into having it pulled.

    I got a bad case of wheel-itis.

    17_fj_alloys.jpg

Local seller wants $300 for this set, but I really can't justify it. I just put brand new stock size Discoverer AT 4S tires on my factory alloy 16s. I suppose I could hoard them until it's time for new tires, which would give me time to get them painted.

In related news, anyone interested in a set of 5 16" tacoma alloys with 5 brand new Discoverer AT 4S tires on them, including 4 with brand new TPMS?
