Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
    Considerations:
    - Attached to the frame or the body?
    - Side clearance
    - Ground clearance
    - Off road or daily driver
    - Reason for adding.

    I dunno
    Enough
Daily.. only 'off-roading' I'll do is forest-service roads for camping etc - ain't gonna do major stuff
I'm 5'4".. wife if 5'3" ... getting in is tricky getting out was an adventure -

I like these over straight boards as they look badder, and unlike predator steps you
won't slip through these and break an ankle ..

OP is 5' 7" and truck is just tall enough that it's not a natural move to throw my leg into and hop onto the seat.
Slight lower back pain as a result of the unnatural move getting in the truck.
A high and tight side step might probably be a solution.
No problems with my Denali 3500 and its' running board.

I'm interested in preserving as much side and ground clearance as possible.
The only dirt this truck sees in the access road up to the gun club.

Can’t say enough about the OEM 5” tube steps in black. I know you’ll get recommendations for something rad but these look like they belong there.

Copy as closely as what your Denali has and you will be happy.

If in a northern climate as i having look alike predator bars one winter, you might think twice about some of them as they collect a lot slush and ice making stepping up on them an adventure in itself.

    My concern would be:
    - If it attaches to the body, any hard bump (up or sideways) is going to impact a body panel, likely resulting in damage.
    - If it attaches to the frame it may minimize damage to the body panels (unless you're expecting it to function as a rock slider, in which case all bets are off).

Yes exactly. The hang right where they're supposed to. Minimal change to ground clearance. These are not sliders but the clearance is great and they are beefy and feel rock solid. I like them more than predator style because those seem like they would get hung up on stuff. These are smooth and unobtrusive.

I like the bent ends. Looks like they grew there. "High and tight".
    Thanks.
