    Hi TW!
I bought my 2020 SR5 RWD 4cyl used with 9,000 miles on it and have had it for almost 6 months. One of my life goals was always to get myself into a Tacoma since it’s my dream truck. It’s my daily driver and I got it for what I thought was a pretty good deal, considering I was focused on a daily driver. BUT I should have come to this forum first, I absolutely regret not getting a 4x4. I didn’t think I would use it and I don’t need it for weather where I live. Now all I want to do is take my Tacoma on some desert backroads and bump around some dirt roads, maybe even camp. Without 4x4 and with only a 4cyl I don’t really know what the capabilities of the truck are for those situations and would love some insight and guidance! I’m happy to be part of the Taco club and TW!144B217E-C110-4E2B-81D9-8DA580154D68.jpg

Welcome aboard! Your truck is capable of doing dirt roads. Fire roads if not muddy or rutted too bad, and fine for camping. I took an F150 2WD on an 8000 mile around the US and Canada camping trip with plenty of dirt roads even rocky roads, you just have to know your limitations and stay away from mud and trying to crawl rocks lol.

Congrats on the new truck. Its really sharp (they all are)! I too had Tacoma envy and only wish I'd pulled the trigger 10 years ago (family be darned). You can do a lot with your truck in its current configuration and can trade it for V6/4WD down the road. Enjoy it!

these things are worth lots so you won't have any problems flipping it for a 4WD in the future if need be. The site has lots of people active so can reach out to get tips/ advice and stay on top of things!
