I'm in TX and it's almost always sunny the way I like it ;) However, in full sunlight I can't see my factory navigation display very well. I did a search but to no avail. I'm wondering if anyone has maybe made a 3D printed shade cover? Is that cost effective or not? I will MacGuyverize something but don't want to reinvent the wheel ;)

Do you drive around with your headlights on? Have you tried seeing if turning your headlights off automatically allows the screen to go to full brightness?

If that doesn't help, just take a measurement for your display and look on Amazon for a screen sun shield or monitor Hood find one that fits your measurements and use some 3M trim tape to attach it.

That stuff is really strong especially after you've let it set for a while, I've got a 3 lb dash decoration made out of brass and it's never moved an inch even after jumping my truck that's only held on by some 1/8" strips of the stuff.

Real men just call it camping
I stuck some business cards between the top of the radio and the trim above as a temporary fix. It’s been like that for a few years now lol. Looks a little ugly but works great!

I have '14, the glare was impossible, settings were changed but it was still a problem. I found a shade made for a Prius radio with a CD player. I couldn't use the CD player but it is easy on/off if I wanted to use the player. I bought it and it worked in my '14 Tacoma and my daughter's '16 RAV4. I found it on Amazon.
