Stock taco no lift. Can I put a 32" tire?

Can I run this set up on 2017 trd sport with no lift? without rubbing?

 

Most likely will rub with that tire offset with 32s

 

What offset would be better?

 

The main issue to avoid rubbing with that tire size is the dimensions and design of the wheel. That’s a 9” wide wheel. The stock Toyota wheels are only 7” wide. The next issue is how much negative offset or “poke” is designed into the wheel itself. I don’t see that listed. 265/70/17 typically fits with no rubbing on a 7” wide wheel with minimum offset like the stock Tacoma wheels, or the 4Runner pro wheels (which poke outwards about 1” more than the Tacoma wheels.

There will be more advice to be had by searching the forum. Do your research, or just accept you’ll have to do some trimming.

 

I'm thinking Sport wheels are 7.5 inches wide

 

Ahhh. I didn’t know that. Same advice applies.

 

This tire/wheel combo will definitely rub due to the wheel offset. You'll need to at least remove front mud flaps and use a heat gun to push back your fender liner next to the body mount.

 

Maybe someone else chime in and fact check me but I think try looking for a 17x8 0 offset, I think that won’t rub for your size

Why such a wide wheel? If you got an 8 inch wheel, that ends up with factory offset, you should be ok. Wheel sellers always try to push wider wheels than needed.

 

I scraped the mud flap with that wheel size

 

Just a little rubbing. Minor plastic. I got the sane setup. 8.5 inch rim though

 

You'll end up with factory backset. Offset will be poking out maybe a half inch
