Very rarely am I satisfied when it comes to fab work, but just got my new hitch skid from DRT Fab and couldn’t be happier with the quality!

Haven’t seen them mentioned on the forums yet but found out about them via Sibi Built aka @Jason TRD OR

Just wanted to give everyone the heads up!

Nice, looks more refined than my WarFab skid.

I was going to go with the WarFab one, and saw the DRT one. Both will work just fine but ya the DRT one looks much nicer. Also more money too.

It's steel. This isn't the area you want to save 3lbs on.

    Agree.

But those alu. shackle X 2 inch receiver adaptors are seen frequently.

I could get down with a forged or billet aluminum receiver -> shackle adapter.

But if it was welded, I'd prefer steel.

I haven't seen an aluminum hitch skid, also haven't looked - but I'm sure someone makes them.

I really like that design I might have to pick one of these up.

And those get creamed fairly quickly. Our trucks have poor departure angle as it is, and the hitch is usually the most prominent point of contact coming off ledges.

Those look pretty nice, Ive got the Warfab one and love it. My only concern on this one is under the hitch seems a bit boxed in to make it a catch all, might want to keep an eye on that area since the Warfab one gets crap under there pretty quick but easy to wash or blow out. Good upgrade tho.
