They show the 2020 and 2021 having different wheels than previous years.

Hey all. New to the forum. I have a 2021 trd sport. Want to upgrade wheels/tires. Looking 265 70 17 tires on 17x9 wheel. Will that size work on the 2021 trd sport?

    FINALLY,
Ok, so I spent a couple hours on here and other sites looking for specs for the 1st Gen OEM TRD "Star" 16x7 wheel. I wasn't ever able to locate the weight. I found anywhere from 24-27lbs. online from best guesses. So I emailed a few ebay folks and one person said about 25lbs. and another said 19lbs. UGH! Anyway i picked up a local used set mounted to half worn 265/70/16 General Grabber AT2. General lists these at 40.5lbs. On the scale without caps (they weigh next to nothing) scale reads 62lbs. With this info....right around 22lbs. I should save about 8lbs. vs. steelies.

    So what I'm getting is...
    16x7 (6 lug)
    +15mm offset
    21.5-22lbs.

Has anyone here actually weighed the OEM steel wheels 42601-AD041 on a 3rd gen SR? I’ve looked all over and can’t find any official specs I trust (22-30 pounds) lol. At this point I’m willing to believe someone weighing on a bathroom or other scale more than than the unofficial specs I’ve seen.

I've seen 29-32lbs. for the older 16x7 steel wheels. My guess is these would be similar.

C8C63E73-3CD9-45E6-B029-1BA1B3843B54.jpg These wheels are from my 2019 Tacoma SR with TSS package. The TSS package has dealer added accessories to make the truck look cooler but only in the gulf state region. I combed through this thread and didn’t see any info on these wheels. They are 17x8 but don’t know the offset and backspace. Curios to see if anyone had anymore info on these wheels.

Not sure if this has changed in recent years but if you pull one of the wheels off and look in the back side the dimensions will be cast into the wheel, usually along one of the spokes.

You can also input the specs in a google search if it’s just some weird code and you will find the translation. Hope it works for ya!

I am looking at a set of wheels that are going to be 2.5 inches wider than my 21 off road wheels. Looking to put 32 or 33" tires. This seems like alot... is it?

What is the offset of new wheels vs the old? That would not only affect fit, but handling.

    Still in planning phase ...
Does anyone have the specs to these Baja/Trail Team wheels? Would like to know how they compare to the 2nd Gen TRD OR wheels, liked the look of these, but wonder outside of looks what the specs were outside of being 16x7 with 6x5.5 bolt pattern.

Will wheels from a 2000 4runner fit a 2008 Tacoma TRD? I read through all 28 pages, and didn't find a specific answer. The picture on the first page says will not fit 2005+ Tacomas, yet on page 21, it says 4runner wheels will fit, just stick out maybe 3/4" more than my stock wheels. Any input?

It should. I've been looking myself to do the same. I'll soon be getting a 2022 TRD Sport after having TRD OR for years. I love the bigger tires but of course do not want it to rub.

    Check this out
