Try the form perhaps? I believe it feeds a ticketing system so they can keep organized and track things.

Loving my Stage 1 tails, but I get hyperflash when going into reverse (every time). Do I need to get resisters or something? Anyone have a good/fast solution?

And switchback v5's if they ever come out of unobtanium status. I caved and got $50 Amazon cheapie sequential which are better than the chrome stuff. Still sort of holding off on doing puddles in the hope that the v5's are out so I can be one and done with boot wiring? Not sure exactly how it's all meant to connect and not sure I'm willing to stuff another wire through the firewall just for DRL.

Here is my understanding and maybe what I think you're asking about?

With V1 puddles it will have to wired through the firewall and door boot for the factory DRL function with a headlight DRL harness. Same wiring if puddles are not installed.

V2 Puddles have the pig tail for the DRL which will be on also long as the truck is on, no turning them off.

Is that what you meant by how it's connected?

I think with v2's the DRL can honor the stalk switch _if_ a feed is run from DRL (at the headlight) through the firewall and into the 4-pin, then supplied into the harness? Otherwise it's an "always on" situation?

Below are some quotes from MESO. My assumption is that the V2's do not honor the stalk switch, but re-reading it wasn't clear with the puddle harness or maybe I read something in a different thread of his about the function of the V2 puddles, but I can't find it. I want to say the V2 puddles did not honor the stalk switch and always on, I could be wrong.

Just to give an overall update and some background on the email I sent out....
I know the V5’s have been a long journey. Many factors have contributed to it’s delay. When this project first started a long long time ago I was doing the full design myself(I.e circuit boards, led layout, wiring, optics, plastics, etc). They ended up getting neglected last year as new projects hit my desk and took priority. Then throw COVID in the mix which screwed up some of my supply for components.
Fast forward to mid/late 2020 and I was fortunate enough to hook up with Morimoto to help bring this project to completion. Rebooted the V5 and we ended up throwing all original designs out the window. Testing a bunch of different prototypes and ultimately settling on a final design which I am pretty stoked on. (Both function and output).

So where does it stand now?? As I mentioned this is a collaboration with MESO + MORIMOTO. I am supplying all the plastics, outside lens, etc. as they are my molds...the same as the ultimate turn signals(although there are some slight changes in the mold for the extra wires which most customers won’t even notice).
Then the plastics get shipped to Morimoto where they are producing and assembling all the internal components. There will be TWO VERSIONS available on the V5’s.
    1) WHITE DRL / AMBER TURN
    2) AMBER DRL / AMBER TURN
As much as I wanted the white/amber to be user configurable and switch to amber/amber it just wasn’t possible and required a new specific led board. Not a big deal, just 2 different SKUS to stock.
At this time, the plastics have all been produced and Morimoto is assembling them as we speak.

The reason for the email asking what headlights you have is I am taking these 1 step further and including a full PnP wiring kit for the DRL to work correctly. Whatever headlights you “upgraded” to whether it be OEM 2020 LED(with adapter harness), Morimoto, Alphrex, etc. doesn’t matter. All that matters is is what connector your truck came with since my T harness is going to be plugging into your STOCK DRL CONNECTOR behind the headlight. 16-20 are the typical 4 pin connector, 2020+ OEM LED use a 6 pin connector. Now you are probably asking... what about my puddle pods that are prewired?! Yes.. they will still work and you can wire the V5 to the unused 2 pin plug next to the puddle pod. *HOWEVER* the DRL will turn ON/OFF with the truck IGNITION only. For most people this is fine. But if you want the mirror signals to be controlled with the DRL switch on the steering column(like the headlights) unfortunately this circuit/wiring is not available in the A-pillar...which is where the puddles are tapped off. That will require you to run a new line into the engine bay and use the T harness behind the headlights. Hope this makes sense feel free to ask me any questions

DRL harnesses with be included with all V5 kits. I was just trying to get a ratio of how many halogen vs OEM LED vehicles everyone has as I am starting on the production of said harnesses.
The V5 DRL will mimic the stock headlight DRL. Daylight= full brightness. Then when you turn on headlights/parking the signals will dim just like the headlight DRLS. Essentially we are tapping off the headlight connector in the engine bay for TWO different signals; DRL(bright), HEADLIGHT(dim). Hope this makes sense.

Yeah, I read that as, with DRL harness and wire through the firewall, stalk switch DRL on/off is honored (which is the only way I'd want it). Gotta have some way to creep up on people in the dark right?

But this discussion probably belongs in the mirror turn thread now, rather than total tails.

Shoutout to @MESO - contacted as mentioned by @daveeasa via the interwebs. They contacted me back and I've been able to purchase a replacement bulb (out of warranty). The replacement was a reasonable price and they were fast in their reply. Highly recommend MESO.

    THANKS!
