I have in-channel in my Tacoma. It took them about a week to get settled where I could roll the windows all the way up without the truck thinking someone’s hand was getting smashed and auto-rolled them down again.

If they do I am sold. I hate the rear air control on the GX blindly turning it up and down with the kids in the back.

So I have a question... What makes the GX desirable over other SUVs , ie 4runner and fj ... Is it the short wheel base and pricing?

The GX is on the same 120 (470) and 150 (460) frames as the 4Runner. I believe the FJ is a slightly modified 120 frame.

At least when it comes to 470 vs 4th gen 4Runner, year-year being same, most 470s are well kept. Most 4Runners are family beaters. And the 4Runners at least precovid were still priced more expensively on the used market.

edit: 470s at least also all came with the 2uzfe and a manual transfer case.
