Hey gang, my driver side mirror won’t move when the adjustment control is used. The passenger side still moves as it should. Any ideas on where I should start chasing this down?

Since you report that the passenger side still works, I'll make an assumption that the 12V (+) and 12V (-) supply wiring to the selector switch is GOOD. I believe that your problem is with the selector switch.

pull the mirror & see if you've got voltage at the connector.

The drawing I have show 2 different motors. 1 for UP/DOWN and 1 for IN/OUT. I think it's very unlikely that both motors died at exactly the same time. Other than the supply power, there is only one other part of the system that is related to the problem. The switch. This is only an arm-chair assumption though.

I think that's where I'll start looking. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

Just a though - you got to open up the door panel anyway. 1st, check all the plug-ins on the switch. Specifically the one coming from the mirror (if you see one).

Swapping in a new control in the dash didn’t revive things. I’ll keep digging this weekend.

Sounds like a wiring issue on the drivers mirror. Power wires are separate between Right/Left and Up/Down. Indicates a ground wire issue.

i would suspect M+ terminal at the mirror or IC6 pin 3. That is one connection that affects both drivers mirror functions.
