Freebies from dealership?

I got a key chain that broke in 2 months.

 

Back in early 2016 and the no one had trucks or it was a long wait, all i could get was a set of mud flaps, well and about $2750 below MSRP, so i had to settle i guess.

I did get a Toyota 25 foot tape ruler from the auto show

 

No free things in life. None. Nada. You pay somewhere.

I got a tank of gas, oil changes for life (all vehicles sold at this dealer do though) and umm I guess that’s about it.

 

I got stale and cold popcorn.

 

I got delayed 5 hours even though I had a check written for the amount of the truck already written and the truck had been pulled for a week until I got my financial in order from my stolen 07. No extras, just another customer treatment...

 

When I picked my truck up, I got them to throw in a TRD Shift Knob, TRD Black Exhaust finisher and a free tank of gas. I told them it was my first ever new vehicle, and that was enough.

 

I have bought 34 new vehicles. Nothing is free. You pay somewhere.

 

Bought my 2021 in the fall. Got bed cleats, door sill protectors, all-weather floor mats. Originally they were going to charge me for them, but I explained that the whole point of me ordering a truck from the factory was to not pay for extras I didn't want (I was going to get these things anyway, but cheaper). Truck arrived with these items anyway, but I had already agreed on a price as if they weren't included. Salesman says, "yup, you're right" and scratched off the price and put the one I agreed to before placing the order. Drove off with a full tank too. Of the 5 dealerships I've visited, I'm happy I went with that one.

 

My factory sticker states that my vehicle comes with a full tank of gas, so I don’t think that’s a freebie.

 

Upgrade to advanced tech package, Predator steps, tint and Tacoma logo on tail gate on our 2021.

 

A free tank of gas (but like someone else said, I think that's included)
A Pen (technically I think I stole that)
A foam Orange with the dealership's name and phone number on it.
A free car wash (well, it was wet, not really sure about how clean it was)
Free delivery to my house.
And a free pic (with my phone) which I put on my Christmas Cards last year

 

I got the predator step things, and Florida legal tinted front windows.

Bought the truck in St. Augustine, and they got it from Jax. It had the stuff on it.

Only thing the steps are good for are standing on when cleaning the bugs off my windshield.

 

Free Subway sandwich.

 

Upon asking, they included the remote tailgate lock on a 2021 OR, but they wouldn't throw in the bedmat too.

 

My dealer threw in four free oil changes (to use when my Toyota care runs out) and a lifetime (non transferable) power train warranty.

 

I got a sore rectum

 

I get them to get me where I want on price, bring my own financing and walk away never to be seen again. I ice the cake by making them remove their dealer sticker before I take delivery. Dealers are scumbags.

I don't get why we have to explain this to adults. The fee shit is just baked in to the cost. I mean it's fine to ask for Free floor mats, as they might do it, and reduce their profits, but you still paid for them, they don't sell things for a loss.
