Tacoma Retrax TRUSS Bed Rack (2005-2021), Mid-height. Replaced Rhino Rack HD Bars mounted to the Retrax.

For those interested in timing: Order #5116SY. Placed 14 Feb. Delivered 6 May. Installed 7 May. Took about 1.5 hours from box open to bolts tightened.

Thanks to @upTOPoverland for the great product and communication. Looking forward to putting it to use. Next step: lighting via under truss mount vs leg mounts, TBD.

 

So i bought some cbi load panels to install on the uptop roof rack but they slide around a lot is it because i dont have anything mounted on them or do they just not fit?

 

Some nice looking products. You guys would be a lot cooler if you would make bravo racks for the 3rd gen access cabs.

 

Wouldn't a 2nd gen fit a 3rd gen?

 

Installed my Scene Pods (Camping Lights) on my UptopOverland Bravo Rack. Tried some night time photography with my phone, should've used my DSLR though.

 

That is really bright for such a small light. Nice looking truck

 

I just ordered the mid height truss bed rack. It was a hard choice between the victory one...I’ll wait patiently for it

 

No you don't... It starts that way, and then the anxiety builds and builds. At 6 weeks you start to sweat. 7 and you need a drink or three. 8 and you get the sweats and jitters. There is only one fix, and that is a tracking number.

 

It took me about 11 weeks to receive my bravo rack but it was well worth it . The best looking rack in the market if you ask me. Also the customer service is top notch I called a few times to find out when it would ship and they were accurate with the time frame.

 

Thought up how to run the Extreme bar cable. Wanted it between the trim and vehicle. Didn't like it between the trim and windshield. Didn't seem secure, with my luck wedging it in would cause it to leak.
I don't know if this is stupid or genius.
I feel pretty satisfied.

When installing the AAP on a Bravo do you have to drill?

 

I just got my racks this week after a 14 week wait, very relieved to say the least.

Is anyone running their ex Bravo on a RSI smart cap? The channel nuts that come with the uptop rack are too wide to fit in the channels and was curious if anyone had a source for ones that fit the m6 bolts from uptop, thanks!

 

Thanks for hanging in there with us. We are getting out asses kicked right now.

As for the RSI, we found the best option was to slide 5/16" hex bolts in the track and bolt the eX feet down this way

Finally finished up the bluetooth scene light controller.

 

Oof, 14 weeks! I sent them a pm asking about wait times, but 14 is going to put me past the August road trip that I wanted it for. ugh.
