Is XOBBAD supposed to read "So Bad"?

 

All I see is “I spent unnecessary money on a plate that doesn’t make sense”

 

I like the kinds of plates that you just pay extra but it goes towards something. If CA re-released some other classic ones like blue and yellow letters or some national park ones I'd be down - not a big whale tail guy.

 

Custom plate orders are suspended because there aren't enough prisoners to make the plates.

 

I jurs want one that is gold and looks like beer with the bubbwla and stuff

 

Honestly with the headlines since last February it totally works as believable news

 

Ok go online and see for yourself. I looked at the cadmv custom plate site two months ago and it stated no custom plate orders were possible. YMMV

I read they were kicking out 50k plates a month out of Folsom prison pre-covid. Maybe we should revisit the 13th amdt since it’s 2021…

California tried to re-release the blue/gold legacy design at the same time that they re-released the black/gold legacy design. They made them both available for preorders for several months before they started producing them. The black/gold design was selling like crazy, but the blue/gold design didn't even meet the minimum requirement to go into production (I think I read that they had less than 1,000 orders during the preorder period). So they canceled that design and refunded everyone's money.

The one I personally miss is the "sunset" design from the 80's. That was a cool plate.

I've had a few sunset plates and they are my favorite design too. I don't know why CA stopped them. The current basic plate - I think it's called the lipstick plate - is ugly. I hate that web address and the plain look. I've had a Yosemite plate too, I like that one. The cost has gotten pretty high and on top of expensive registration and fees, it becomes a lot.

 

I really wanted a blue/gold for my 87 4x4.
They are a perfect color match for my truck.
Have a black plate on my black truck.
