I'm pretty sure they will fit. I looked at the TSB and they only list one part number for teh fan up through 2011. Oh and I checked with my dealer today and unless they are blowing smoke up my ass they are to be getting a few of the blower motors in later this week.

Mine just started about 3 days ago. Going to just remove the fan, clean it and lube it up! If it starts again, maybe try an aftermarket one, but trying this 40min fix first.

I went for my 5000 mile service yesterday, (Dry Ridge Toyota in KY) and they were dumb founded that mine squeaked. They had to look up the TSB. Ordered a new one, said 2 weeks. Ironically, today it has become much worse! PITA!

Man, you guys are awesome. I found the door lock beeps annoying; found a thread to disable it. Beeping seat belt warning was annoying, found a thread to sort that out too.

Today I noticed my fan blower chirping on the two lowest settings, at first thought it was my GPS, but no dice.

I am going to try to clean/grease it to sort it out myself before I start to fix the problem with my dealer, because other than that I am extremely happy with the truck. This is my 5th truck (3rd 4x4), and I am absolutely amazed at how comfortable of a ride it is. I am still a chicken shit and won't take it off road for quite some time.

Mine was chirping for weeks before I discovered via this forum that others were having the same problem. Dealer diagnosed it and told me the motor was on backorder. Ditto the sadface. The noise drives me nuts.

Gotta say, I love my truck, but this is the third thing the dealer has had to address, which I think is more than should be for a new (january 2010) vehicle. First, I found out the hard way last year the AC had no freon in it. Not a bit. Also, there was a loose screw - no lie - rolling around somewhere in the body between the drivers seat and the bed. They had to go in and find it. Last summer there was a rubber seal in the AC unit that went bad so then I started *losing* freon.

Everything was fixed under warranty, but man, this is a PITA. I never had to have my 2006 serviced for anything other than routine stuff. Is Toyota's quality control not so hot any more??

Happens a lot. Seller doesn't update listing for current year models and most aftermarket tacoma parts are 05-09 max. This part of Tacoma has not changed, very little overall come to think of it.

It's the same. I'm holding my breath on my fan from Amazon. I tssems the fans last until the next following winter.

Yeah this seems ass-backwards. You expect the Toyota to fix problems as the years go by. Was your 2006 assembled at the same plant as your 2010?

Don't get your hopes on on the new redesigned fan. I had one of those Redesinged fans from the TSB installed in April and it went out 7 months later. I'm not going through the hassle of taking my truck in having the dealer say "Yup, your fan chirps" to going back to have them install it weeks later only to have it act up the following winter. If my Amazon fan works the rest of this winter along with next, I'll consider it the best $40 I've ever spent.

Just ordered the Amazon replacement. Hope it works. $12 shipping is a rip off though...

Thats not what I want to hear! I am going in for my 45K service and was going to have them replace that fan (again). Hopefully they have one in stock. If not, I guess I will be doing the temp fix for now.

KenLyns - no idea where my 2006 was assembled, just never had reason to find out. The 2010 came out of California though. Must have been 5pm on a Friday before a holiday weekend!

I've been waiting for the part to come in (TSB). Dealer told me a week, sounds like I have a much longer wait !!

Mine was in last week for the fan chirp, dealer told me there is a new improved fan on the way, but is on backorder also. I doubt the new fan is any different than the old one. There is no way I am going to do any work to a $32,000 truck that should be fixed under warranty. After 3 years if they can't get it right, I will fix it myself.
