Super bumps are pretty soft, and your 35s (or 315) are going to be a bit taller obviously than my 34's, plus the loss of top out from the splash guard though not much even with a quarter inch of space on my stock bumps I was still touching under compression and the stock bumps don't squish at all really. I'd probably get 3/8 spacer, you can run down to your local hardware store and get some 1/8" thick stainless washers with a 3/8" hole that will work perfectly.

I had a quarter inch of spacer on my stock ones before I went to the duro bumps, I'm going to put an 1/8" spacer on my duro bumps.

I found out that OET is for the company Oetiker https://www.amazon.com/Oetiker-Clamps/s?k=Oetiker+Clamps
Now to see if I have the right size for my driveshaft.

Today I finished installing a wireless rearview/backup camera for use with my overland trailer.

When pulling my overland trailer I often have trouble seeing what is going on behind me. My truck's rearview mirror is partially blocked by the pillars on the trailer that support the RTT. So how do I get a better view of what's going on back there when driving?

The solution (for me, anyhow) was to install this AUTO-VOX Solar Wireless Backup Camera system.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B1BFRNX?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

The installation is so simple that even your boss could do it.

The system consists of two parts: In rearview camera/battery/solar charger and in display module for inside the cab.

This is the display module. Is comes with a suction-cup windshield mount but I instead ordered some RAM mount pieces so I could install it on my Expedition Essentials TPAM system. The most difficult part of the install was hiding the power supply cable.

    Here is the camera unit.

It easily mounts behind your license plate. The camera is on top and the solar-charged battery is at the bottom. No wiring, no muss, no fuss. The camera transmits the video signal (digital; not analog) to the receiver in the cab.

    Now how cool is that?

So wait, are saying a 1/2” bolt fits the metric threads on the frame??! That would be awesome.......

The stock bolt is M12-1.25. The closest UNF size is 1/2"-20. 1/2" is obviously a little bigger than 12mm and the thread pitch is slightly different (1.25mm vs 1.27mm). You might be able to get it in there, but you'll be fighting the threads a little bit.

Looks good! You wrapped it yourself? What vinyl did you use? The clear coat on my roof is starting to go away so I need a quick protector

Fun fact, that’s also the thread pitch for the shift knob :playball:

Not today but I had my front end practically rebuilt on Saturday. New lower control arms, driver’s side CV axle, hub seals, gusseted spindles, and alignment cams. It rides better now. I just need to get it aligned and get a better set of wheel spacers. They had to throw on a 1/4” spacer for the wheels to clear the spindle gussets.

I think it was briefly. Hopefully that didn’t damage anything.

Thanks! I did wrap it myself (hood and roof). I used Avery brand for the roof and 3M brand for the hood. If you're going to do the roof I would suggest removing the 3rd brake light. As part of that you'll want a new gasket, which can be found for cheap on Amazon or eBay.
FWIW, 3M says 1 year warranty on horizontal surfaces for Hawaii. Longer warranty for elsewhere in the US. I guess because we get so much sun. I removed and replaced my former wrap on the roof 1 year later and the wrap condition was still good, and fairly easy to remove. I could've left it on longer. The paint beneath was just how I had left it. It was great protection from...everything.

A friend of mine has good results from VVivid vinyl too.

I just finished my needle bearing swap today on the lift at my work. I tried to remove the CV Saturday in my driveway, but it was too close quarters to get leverage. Today I ended up holding pressure outward with a pry bar while my coworker hit it with a punch at the housing notch before it would pop out. After that it was about 30 minutes for removal of needle bearing, install of ECGS bushing and new seal, button up, refill diff, and back on the road. CV went back in easy but man was it a bear to get out.
I can't wait for quittin time so I can test it out without the vibe.
