I have a weird rattle on my 2016 Tacoma Trd Sport (access Cab). Noise seem to comming somewhere left ac vent area, I tried holding down different areas when driving but it still rattles/squeak. I notice if I open the driver side door while driving there is no noise. The squeak/rattle is very evident over rough roads. Would appreciate any help.

Did you take off the cabin air filter and check if anythings blocking the fan? I had a plastic bag get sucked up in there once.

    Far to much money spent.
I had a broken clip on the tweeter cover took me forever to find it.

My 2016 and 2017 both rattled where there the A pillar and tweeter cover were touching. If you haven’t tried it yet, find something wedge between those two and see if that helps. The other option is to pull the dash trim and check to make sure there aren’t any broken clips or anything behind the vent.

I hope you get it figured out. I feel your pain when it comes to that kind of stuff. I simply can’t tune out squeaks and rattles. I’m glad my Tacomas haven’t had many.

Sloved the squeak. My 2016 trd tacoma was squeaking/ rattling near driver side door. I found the problem to be the fuse box under the dash. The side covers on the fuse box is loose, I put a piece of cardboard between the metal bracket and the covers. No more squeak/rattle. I thought I share this
