Hello everyone! I just bought a used 2020 Tacoma from a dealership. Previous owner added an Icon/Fox suspension system including the RXT leaf pack. Unfortunately, it was a trade-in so I did not get the extra leaf-spring. Further, I don't know if the leaf-pack is currently set up as option #1 or option #2. I am assuming it is option #2 using the heavier spring since it sits noticeably higher in the rear and rides extremely firm. Plus, I only count 7 leafs.

I want to lower the rear about an inch. Is there anything that would indicate to me that the heavier spring was switched into the leaf-pack? Is there somewhere to source just the option #1 standard leafs?

Thanks in advance for the help!

You should measure from Center of hub up to your fender. Icon says option 1 is 1.875 inches higher than stock. So you would be around 24 inches.

So it looks like I am at 24.75" from hub center to my fender. Based off of that, I would think the previous owner switched out the leaf spring to go to option #2 (does that sound correct?).

Anyone out there have an RXT set up that have removed the stock option #1 springs that will not be using them in the future?

So I reached out to Icon to see if I could purchase the original leafs from them but they only sell the "optional" leaf used in option #2 and #3, but not the standard leaf. This leaves me to try and source one from someone who has removed the original leaf and knows they will not be using it in the future.

Please let me know if anyone has the standard leaf laying around that is not planning on using it. I am happy to purchase it! Thanks in advance.

Still hoping to find an option #1 leaf that someone has removed.

I reached out to Icon a second time hoping they could share who manufactures the leaf-packs for them so I could contact them directly. Still waiting to hear back. Almost wondering if purchasing a new leaf-pack may be my only option at this point. Don't want to have to spend that kind of $$$ if I don't have to.

Thanks. I really appreciate it! I’m having no luck at all with Icon. They said they don’t sell the standard leaf and will not share the specifications (proprietary) or who their manufacturer is so I can contact them directly.

I just received a set from Icon. For reference here’s how the “out of the box” Stage 1 spring setup arrived, 7 leaf pack…

    Thank you!

From what I can see on mine, the 3rd leaf (from the top) is thicker than the others which is what is making me think mine is set up in option #2. In your pictures, they all look to be the same thickness.

I measured the Icon stage 1 spring stack, about 2.1” thick. It does seem the each leaf has slightly different thickness. I measured the following from bottom to top:
    1 - 0.3”
    2 - 0.3”
    3 - 0.3”
    4 - 0.3”
    5 - 0.23”
    6 - 0.23”
    7 - 0.3”

The extra spring included with the RXT spring kit is 0.325” thick (not installed), so total stack would be ~2.50” with spacers if installed if aiming for the Stage 3 (8 leaves).

I am on the verge of ordering a new set since I cannot find a slightly used set anywhere, and will likely be going for option 2. Will let you know in the coming weeks if I am able to spare you what you need.

First, I want to thank everyone who potentially offered their option #1 leaf. A friend recommended that I go to the local spring shop here in Vegas and see what they thought. Once I explained the situation, they offered to fabricate a replacement leaf that matched the thickness of the others and remove the option #2 leaf. Looking at the pictures provided above, this would be consistent with how they come stock. In total, the shop had it for about 3hrs and when I went to pick it up, the stance was better (roughly 0.5-0.75" lower) and the ride was softer. Definitely happier with it (and I have the #2 spring if I ever add a few hundred pounds to the back)! Thanks again everyone.
