Check Engine light on, scan showed "P1130 A/F Sensor Circuit , Range/Performance -Bank 1 sensor 1.

Do I simply replace the sensor or is there a way to confirm the sensor is bad??

There is a way but not a practical one, me personally I would inspect the wiring for animal damage or abrasion and if nothing is found replace the sensor.

Sensors are so simple and reliable these days if there's a code and it isn't a broken wire then it's the sensor and there's not a whole lot you can do to breathe new life into them.
