    Hello TW,
Im looking to see if anyone has the spring compressor from ARB meant for adjusting the preload and height on BP-51 coilovers. Part ARB #VM80020001.
Ive called around to see if I can buy one but had no luck. No one has it in stock and there's no ETA on a new shipment of them. Anyone in the socal area have one to loan out or know of any shop that has it? The coilovers are not ajustable without this tool... as far as I know.

Looks like it's an adapter specifically for that coilover to be used with a regular strut spring compressor? No luck with 4 wheel parts? I'd think if they can't get it, they would know a shop that has it.

looks like a standard spanner wrench should work on that.

Correct. It is an adapter. I’m not 100% sure what it looks like because there’s literally only one picture of it on the internet, and it’s on a TE thread, but hard to see. It’d be worth a call to 4wp, haven’t thought of that!

I wish. A spanner wrench works to adjust the dampening, but not the preload.

That hole there is what I need to get something in to turn. Tried everything that’s circular and just can’t get a good grip without the compressor adapter.

Can you really not adjust your preload without a spring compressor? The other coilover brands can just crank on it with a coilover spanner wrench while its on the vehicle. That seems insanely inconvenient to me.

The part number you listed VM80020001 is to work in addition to a wall mounted spring compressor. Like a Branick. I have a wall mounted spring compressor, but not the adapter from OME. I'm in SoCal.

Also for turning the collar these work great for King, Fox, Icon. Harbor Freight punch set.

Yeah that’s the downside of BP-51’s I guess. They’re amazing but can’t get the collar to budge without compressing the spring.

Thanks for the info. We tried a wall mounted spring compressor but didn’t have any luck without the adapter :(
