Only 50 miles each way. Lots of people do it in Maine. At least it's all highway.

My favorite commuter was a guy who commuted from Bangor to Augusta every day. Had 193k on his car and original brakes.

I was doing 44 miles each way at 40k per year on a Forester. I got a job that requires travel which changed it to 45 miles each way to the airport once a week. The mileage doesn't pile up nearly as quick then.

Close! Its about 60 miles each way from my house. But yeah it is common and 95% highway miles honestly not at all worried about the miles minus these damn gas prices that keep raising. Luckily I have a Sam's Club membership. I drill up in Bangor for the guard and I usually spend the night before in my office its about 70+ miles for me so a little longer than Augusta to Westbrook.

I'm thinking with regular maint. and 95% highway miles I'll EASILY get 300k - 400k miles out of ole' Tammy (the tacoma) and that puts me 10+ years with it.

I was doing the opposite before covid, though not as many miles. Gardiner to Falmouth 5 days a week plus going north on the weekends really adds up. Now I'm pretty much only doing the north on the weekends part.

Same for the GF; she was driving from exit 86 to South Portland every day. She put 70k on her Mustang in 3 years, and then Covid hit and she started working from home. She only put 6k on it all of last year.

Thanks, My weekend plans have been changed a little, so I think I’m going to swing by Saturday morning. I’m assuming I just drive on base and there will be signs or what not guiding me.

I'm not sure what they're putting up for signage this year, in years past we've had signs all the way from the main road, but not always. You'll be hard pressed to miss the large collection of vehicles with numbers on the side by one of the hangars.

    Take the Cooks Corner Exit
    Right onto Bath Road
Left at 2nd Light onto Admiral Fitch Ave.
Straight through One Street light(only one on Brunswick Landing)
    Straight through 4 way stop
Go to next stop sign where the road ends at runway. Have to take a left or right onto Orion, depending on where it is being held. If you guess the wrong way it is easy to turn around and come back in the other direction.

I worked in cook’s corner for years, back when record town was at the strip mall behind BK, then once it moved to the new Shaw’s strip mall. But the rest of the base directions are useful.

Day one of autocross was mostly a success. My battery tie down snapped the J-hook off on my second run, and the battery slid into my power steering pulley. Cut the battery open and partially rubbed through the low pressure return line as well. One quick parts store run later and I had a new battery and tie down. Got it back together and cleaned up for the second half of the day and it ran great!

If anybody comes tomorrow and wants a ride around the course in the Tacoma, either ping me on here to catch up or show up with a valid drivers license and a helmet if you have one. There are some loaners the club has as well. I'm the only truck racing so just come up after signing the waiver and hop in. typically other drivers will be happy to let you ride along in their vehicles as well. We'll be running from 9-9:30am to 3pm.C9E61721-454A-4003-8D89-F0E55BDF8038.jpg

I hung out by the gate near the time clock for a bit yesterday, saw you make a few runs. I would have been there sooner, but we found Flight Deck on the way.

look like folks were having fun, reminded me of the many times I saw the SCCA run at Louden.
