Not when the universal core supports give the same x+ of the inverted cab bushings.

    :notsure:

Dis you grease the crap out of the core support bushings and torque appropriately?

It seems noise is from overtorque and the factory torque spec is surprisingly low.

Yeah neversized the shit out of everything. Due to the poor fit of the generic ones I wasnt able to even get to the torque spec. The inner metal sleeve never made contact. So I dont think overtorque was the issue.

My stock ones make the same noises just after adding my toytec lift. It's only on flexing & offroad though. Once my factory ones are shot this is a very solid setup

Started this today. Got the drivers side done. Rear bolts seized drivers one was a pain and now hung up on the passenger rear.

Pb blaster, heat, bfh, air hammer, still stuck lol would be way easier in a lift. really straight forward process though

I have to finish mine this weekend. Going to sawzall the bolt and sleeve in half - still won’t budge

found a pic from when the frame was getting done and saw the damn bushing the bolt is seized in eyeing me lol666FD4BA-2F3D-4586-8D11-E8BF1E6E62FA.jpg

Finished quickly today. I should have just cut the bolt in half to begin with

So this kit works for the 3rd gens as well? I have 111K on my 2016 and am getting some clunking in the front end. The radiator support bushings are getting here tomorrow and I am thinking about just doing the full body mount bushings too

Wondering if that's a crack in the rad support in your pic to the right.

    Glad I found this thread.

I’m already getting more vibrations in the can than I’d like, so I’m guessing OE bushings would be better for me.

What did you cut it with and how high up did you cut it? I spent 2 hours today smacking 1 of my rears with a hammer to get it to back out but its seized to the sleeve. I had to put the whole truck back together and plan to go to HD and pick up some sawzall blades unless you used something different that worked better.

Is the hole the bolt goes through in the cab larger than the sleeve so if I cut midway up the sleeve will it still back through the body?

I cut it between the cab and bushing. It’ll take a bit, the sleeve and bolt are pretty tough. Once the bushing starts to melt let it cool a little and continue or the blade is gonna be a bitch to get out of there lol.

and yeah I used 12” sawzall blades to cut it. Go in from the wheel well and you should have decent access if you take off the wheel

yeah thats what I am finding to be my biggest issue, space and that the bushing moves up with the body so I will have to cut as high as I can. gonna be a fun time. I am planning to get a few blades cause I am pretty sure I have to cut both rear mounts out.

Thanks for the input I appreciate it!

yeah it wasn’t fun but I definitely recommend a few blades. Once the bushing melts on to it it’s a pain. I cut borderline touching the bottom of the cab but didn’t nick it at all. tried every type of penetrant, mapp gas, huge hammer, air hammer, nothing. I should have cut it from the beginning but oh well haha.
Hitting with a hammer after the mapp gas only mushroomed the bottom of the bolt on mine

I had the same thing happen to an old cobalt a few years ago dropped the engine cradle and put it on a block of wood for support then took an 8lb sledge over my head dropping it the bolt and it still wouldn't budge. Sleeve seizing is a real pain. I gave this one a few smacks with a hammer and started buttoning things back up. I knew it wasn't gonna budge with anything I had. I appreciate the input I thought I could do all he bushings in an afternoon. Fronts and radiators came out just fine but the rears are seized like crazy.

My next issue is I snapped the head off one of the frame bracket bolts and nope'd right out on the rest. They are so stuck and weak it just pushed right through like butter. I need to find a way to get up in there and break the nut welds loose and just completely replace with some new hardware. phuck salt, it ruins everything.

So. Both my moms 07 4runner and my 2013 taco have the same rather loud CLICK/POP when front suspension cycles (at random over larger jaring bumps). Shes rocking a set of 4600's im on a set of 5100's with SPC UCA's. I have checked everything on my truck, replaced rad support bushings awhile ago, the common denominator between the two of us is original body mount bushings, think its worth a try? Is there anything in a stock bushing that would wear out that would make a significant click/pop when things flex?
