Wife just noticed this, wasn't there a week and a half ago when I wiped my interior down or when we all went kayaking so wife and kids.

Door panel warped! Just bought this truck in January (2021, brand new) and do get me wrong, I love it, but after having to take it in to have the bed aligned, I wish they had kept production in Japan.

Please tell me this isn't normal. Was flat and straight a week and half ago and 3 other doors are.20210512_191637.jpg

Did you remove it recently ? If not I would take it to the dealer and have them replace it . I had my plastic piece on the windshield warp and dealer replaced .

I would be frustrated also. I’ve seen a few videos of removing the door panel that look fairly easy. Might just need a lil re working. Hope it works out.

That happened to mine. I took it back to the dealer and they said it was the window trim and they would order a new trim. Took it back when trim arrived and what do know, they had to order the whole door panel and replace it.

OK seems to be a qc issue with whoever makes the door panels. Easy enough fix at least.

And no, no one has touched the door panel.

It's why you spend big bucks for new vehicles with a warranty.

Now you get to justify that choice!

Which of course no one ever really wants to do for some odd reason.............

Did you by chance get the windows tinted? I had installer ruin my door panel on another vehicle when they were using a heat gun on the film (I think to match the curve of the glass).

"Keep production in Japan" made me laugh.

Take your truck back to the dealer and have them fix the issue. Problem solved.

Do what the dealer is going to do, beat on it with the palm of your had. It might re clip itself.

the top of the panel slips down over the frame and sits flush and smooth when in proper place. looks like that part of the panel hasnt fully slipped down into place. or is completely warped. very odd. I would lean towards warped as typically the whole end would be lifted up if the panel wasnt sitting in place right. taker er back!

I literally noticed this exact same thing on my truck yesterday. Not as bad as yours but now I have something to look forward to.

I don't think Toyota offered tinted front windows, I don't know of any MFGs that do; probably because there are still many states that don't allow them. IF it is tinted, it was done at that dealer or they sub'd out the work. Again, I'm not saying this was the cause.

My 2021 is doing the same of both driver and passenger doors with only 2500 miles. Calling the dealership this week for an appt. They had the windows tinted beforehand. I'm guessing also this maybe caused be use of a heat gun

I feel for you, my 23 had to have the bed, the rear bumper and the right rear door aligned. So far no issues with door panels but if I do Toyota will be replacing. Thanks for the post I will be keeping an eye on them.

OP hasn't returned since the June of 2022,,, about the same time I questioned how his truck came from "the factory" with tinted front windows,,, that isn't an option on any vehicle I know of due to state laws varying greatly.

This happens a lot, it would be nice for the people that start the threads to give us all the end result, it would sure slow down on new threads for similar issues
