In the 9 months it took to get my tatrix cable Ive read a lot of these pages but I’m having difficulty getting the tunes. I installed vftuner and got my master key. I opened my ecu with 4 credits but I don’t see any custom tunes just all the maps.

I went to download and tried unlocking my ecu but I got this internal server error. Can anyone lend assistance?

You need to message zendesk and request the tunepack for your ecu

Aren't you a TT kit person?

If so, you need to get tunes from @OVTune .

    If not, my apologies.

I am but don’t have any pieces yet so I’m trying to mess with these tunes first and log some stats on draggy to compare once tt’s are in.

Ok thank you. I did that a couple days ago. I wasn’t sure if I was doing something wrong. I’ll wait and go from there. Thanks again.

Is there any kind of update for those of us with the old software? I’m running the premium tune in a gas shortage with no response from OVtune in a month.

There is, see the AT thread here. The OP has changed a few times, but OVTune will need your original email used to purchase the flash kit, VIN #, and ECU ID.

That said, I started my support case on March 7th, it’s now May 12. I sent my VIN, ECU ID, Email and purchase order # back on 4/15, nearly a month. Last I heard he was planning to get new registration emails sent out for the Flash Manager Replacement (VF Tuner with a flash and log only license) this week but I’ve yet to hear so far. Still a few more days left I suppose.

I’m in the same boat though. I’m on a 2.0 premium tune while prices rocket past $3.50/gallon and it’s becoming unsustainable with ZERO way to flash back as my System ID changed and they cannot generate new ones. So I’m stuck until I get a new key, which will hopefully be soon. If this keeps up I’ll be driving the wife’s Subaru to work instead of my own truck, lol.

Edit: To cite my source on the timeline (key word being starting not completing - and assuming he already has your info from an email earlier, hopefully it's all tracked well).

    VF Timeline.jpg

There's also a thread on the VF Forum here:
vF Flash Manager Replacement Questions - no tune viewing or editing

Ideally, this will be updated further by Tonered or VFTuner may create a brand new one - we'll see. Right now I'm not aware of anyone that's actually gotten a key for it yet to put it to use. I'm hoping I'll be in the early batch so I can flash back to an 87 tune and get some use out of a purchased tune from March I've yet to be able to flash.

I'm looking into getting the tuning kit for my MT trd pro was wondering if anyone had issues with a dealer for warranty after installing it? Want to know before I get it cause the last thing I want to do is void my warranty. Anything info helps
    Thanks

    So. Many. Stickers.
Nope. Dealerships have no method of detecting the tune, and it won't hurt your ECU

Good to hear, how is your experience with it? Its the full tuning software now too eh, not just pre made tunes? Is it user friendly, i never had really any experience tuning things myself but I do have friends that are pretty experienced with tuning built Hondas. Just want to know what to expect if I get it. Thanks

are you looking for a factory experience out of the box, or a non-optimized stockish version for you to edit yourself with vF Tuner? user friendly isn't the term that comes to mind using vF but it depends on what you're doing. flashing finished tunes is super easy and no risk.

I want to start with just flashing the 2.0 tunes start, then might get into adjusting some things with the help from my buddy, he's experienced with hondata, for his k swaped civ. So I'm sure he could show Me a few thing and help figure out something in the software thanks for the info

What are the power gains for the new tunes that are out its hard to find accurate numbers for the 2.0 version or any others besides the 1.3 or 1.5? This is the last thing I want to know before deciding if I get it or not

It's like 12 hp or something. That doesn't matter though. It makes second gear usable around corners and gives you more power in lower RPMs. Just do it, you won't regret it.

More usable in corners how? It's would spin the tires easier in the corners type thing? Or just doesn't bog down if you get in low rpm around a corner?
