Just bought a brand new Tacoma four-cylinder 2wd love the truck my only issue is that it shifts constantly when it’s in cruise control is there anyway to correct this maybe give the computer more tolerance it doesn’t always have to be exactly on the money

    Nope.

Either let it shift like a spaz or drive without cruise, unfortunately.

May take some time and miles before it identifies as a truck.
New ones have a mind of their own.

The consolation is that the indecisive shifting doesn't hurt the truck. Its annoying for sure though.

Just use S5 instead of D. It will cut down on the shifting dramatically.

Move to Florida, they have no hills. Your transmission will never shift while on cruise control.

It will take at least 1000 miles for the shifting to normalize itself.

I actually use S4 in town...
Also you may want to press the ECT button. This will (may) raise the shift points more to your liking.

The trans is programmed for fuel economy not driver comfort...unfortunately.

If totally new, like less than 1,000 miles on it you don't wanna use cruise anyway.
