650# and 5th notch on both sides with 1/4” spacer on the driver’s side to counter the taco lean.

Ride is much better than when i had 700# on max 6th notch. I know i know...LOL

Just received my 6612s and waiting for 5160s to arrive for the full install, keeping stock height so no leaf springs required. Should I just run the 600# that come with the fronts or go 650#? Running stock bumper, TRD Pro skid plate with Prinsu cab rack loaded with Road Shower 4 (120lbs when full) and a full cargo case but besides that I don't plan on adding any more weight to the front the rest of weight is in the bed. I installed Hellwig 7719/7744 sway bars to stiffen up the ride and reduce roll because I drive on tarmac 95% of the time.

What'd you end up going with? I was curious about the stock leaf with the 5160's...

i can’t speak from experience but I’ve been researching like crazy for my own purchase and it’s gonna ride stiffer than stock either way so if you want it real stiff go 650 and if you just want it a little stiffer go 600, you don’t have much added weight. Really you would need a bumper and winch to go 650 as that would be closer to 200 pounds added.

600 lb coils will be fine.

Ended up going with 6112s stock springs set at max height and 5160s with ICON RXT leaf springs on option #1. Ride is night and day difference vs stock, love driving the truck even more now! Will be adding the extra leaf that came with the leaf packs to go up to option #3 as I'll be adding a hard shell RTT and Diamondback HD cover which will increase my bed weight by 280lbs so total will be over 400lbs along with the other things already in the bed.

I just put on the icon rxt option 3/b110s in the rear and love the ride with the 6112s up front, but now have a tad too much rake. The 6112 600lb coils have sagged pretty bad after steel skid set, bamf sliders and heavier tires went on. I’m looking into 650lb coils and wondering if the the icon 14” coil springs would be a good combo, since the rear icon rxt/b110 setup is working nicely off-road. If their coil springs are nothing special I’m also considering the 650lb kings.

Unfortunately your only option for going with a heavier spring on the 6112s is the 650lb spring that is made by Bilstein. They have a pigtail end (unlike flat top/bottom) and a tapered upper portion of the spring. I'm sure this is Bilstein's move at making sure folks stay in their ecosystem.

This makes a lot of sense, thanks for the info. So the icon coil definitely seems to have the flat top/bottom, but wheelers has an option for king or wheeler coils on the 6112. Possibly those are the only options besides a bilstein coil on the 2nd gen.

Interesting... I wonder how they get around the fact that the top and bottom of the spring being different diameters. They might have access to a different spring seat or something? I might make a couple of phone calls tomorrow because I am genuinely curious. Absolutely news to me.

Is there a benefit to running a taco lean spacer over a mismatched notch height?

Is this a new change? Folks in my off-road club that got the 6112s in 2020 had closed and ground ends.

Nope - Just some brain fog by yours truly. You're correct. Occasionally I like to get Bilstein stuff mixed up. Appreciate you saying something

    Tacoma 6112s - 3"x3" shaved flat springs
    Tacoma 5100s - Pigtailed springs
Tundra 6112s - Shaved flat, but ID from top to bottom are different so standard springs won't work.
