upload_2021-5-14_14-53-30.jpgSo I’m not sure if this will help but I figured out my tire can mount 16 inches and I was told it was 6x5.5, what is that 0/4.5”? Does that sizing look right for my 06 taco? Sorry for all the questions on here super new to all this truck stuff!

I’ll assume you’re remounting your existing tires. What size are they?

    16 / 8 means that you have a 16" wheel and it's 8" wide

6 X 5.5 means that you have 6 lugs per wheel and the bolt pattern is 5.5

0 / 4.5 means that the mounting surface of the wheel is located almost center line of the 8" wheel. Where 0 = Offset of the mounting surface. And 4.5" to the surface measured from the inside of the wheel.

If your just getting new tires, there are three things you need to consider:
    1) you have a 16" wheel so you need to be looking at 16" tires
    2) your wheel is 8" wide so - the 16" tires also have to fit on an 8" wide wheel

    Last (but not least)
    3) If you get a bigger tire - you need to make sure that it will fit under the truck without rubbing anything when you turn the wheel or go over a bump.

So would you say based on the picture I’d be good to go? I’m using my same tires that are 245/75/r16, I’m just making sure I should have no issue mounting them, thanks for all your help!

I think the OE wheels are 16/7 +24
    your looking at----------16/8 +0

So your new wheels will be 1" wider and and "poke" out about 1.5" further
To be honest, I really don't know if they will rub?

I’ve looked for a lot of 16 inch wheels and it seems like it’s not as common or something, I see so many 17’s....

16x8 0 offset will be fine. FYI 0 offset means the mounting surface is centerline of the wheel.

I never thought buying rims would be so rough, I’m just not trying to buy the wrong fitment

It would simplify things if you posted the year, make, model and submodel of your vehicle.
