If I learned one thing today it is I need to get back out in the garage and start welding again. I was very frustrated with the issues I had. It's not going anywhere though. I look forward to the review myself, personally, I am curious to see how much @ARCHIVE 's new stuff pays off.

Must admit... not overly thrilled nor impressed with @AccuTune Offroad service after the sale so far... pretty much telling me it is my responsibility to get the shock fixed.

Been on the search all morning for someone that has the ability to charge the shock with no luck.

Yep I was right there pulled it strait out of the box and it would collapse but no extension apparently never charged. That’s a rather expesnsive shock also

Alex contacted me and sent me a call tag to 2nd day air the shock back for inspection and charging. He also offered me the option of paying to have it sent expedited back to me for an additional fee. He seemed very concerned about the issue and extremely willing to try and find a way to correct it. Much better than the initial call I had with another individual.

Needless to say, the shock is on its way back to CA to be repaired. With any luck they will receive it early Wednesday and be able to get it back out the door that afternoon so that I can get the truck back driving by the weekend.

    Thank you for the assistance.

Well, 1 side is at least together. Barring any more unplanned hiccups the other shock will be here tomorrow and I will get it installed.

Finally got my limit straps in the mail so I could finish up the rear end.

    Burnt in the mounting hardware

And then bolted the straps in place.

So the rear is complete! Ready to go cycle it on a trip now!

Got home from work tonight and the weather was absolutely perfect. So I sweet talked my wife in to helping remove the hood so I could knock out a quick little project.

Got everything taped out and marked

Got the drill and cut off tool out and went to work

Then mounted the louvers with the rivets.

Then went back in the house and sweet talked my "assistant" to come help me lift the hood back on to the truck so I could reinstall.

All in all only took about 2 hours. Hopefully this will help with the rising temperatures I see while offroading.

Nothing like a rainy 3 day weekend to inspire knocking out a project I have been procrastinating over for quite some time...

Finally have something to update this thread for.

Took advantage of CVT's black Friday sale and a trip to TN and picked up a new hybrid series Shasta with extended fly! Truly happy with the new tent!
