I have a 2013 Tacoma and the stock headlights are really hazy. Getting some tax money back and thought it would be a good idea to spend it on some new ones. After my morning of research found out there are many options, technologies and thoughts on the matter.

I was wondering if there are a few brands that you guys would recommend to buy from? I am looking at the https://www.extremeterrain.com/tacoma-black-halo-projector-headlights-drl-light-bar-cws-2041b2.html

What bulb technology would you recommend? Looking for moderately priced, decent quality / performance, and bulbs that will last for a while. Im not sure what bulb technology is the best for longevity.

I keep reading that aftermarket isnt as good as stock. Is this true?

I read Crashnburn80s sticky on replacing the bulbs in stock headlights, but I dont think that solution is for me because do to the haze I would just like to buy a new complete headlight and install it. (and I like the look of the aftermarket ones)

Thanks for any help you have on this subject

I replaced the headlights on my ‘08 with Spyder. Having experienced those after market lights, I would replace them with OEM Toyota lights if I have to do it again. The bulbs in the Spyder (H1) would burn out every 6 months on average. I paid for those lights 4 times over in bulbs.

Just polish and seal the old ones. They can be made to look like new again.

Depending on the look you want replacement is option

My vote is with cleaning and recoating the clear

    OEM quality is good

As for bulbs crashburn has all those answers (very wise lighting guy)
