I did a search and almost all of the results are about the window "belt trim" where you'd rest your arm with the windows down.

I'll replace that too, but it's not what I'm looking for. I want to replace the trim around the rest of the window, like the top near the front where it curves. Basically all the trim.

My 2011 whistles and shit like crazy on the freeway, especially with a crosswind, from both front door windows. I can push outwards and it goes away, which makes me think it's all the old, dry trim.

Thoughts, ideas? I've cleaned and oiled them, no help. Living in Vegas all of the trim dries out.

It’s called a window channel. That should help your search

What's a "Kazoo" type noise? And haha yes window channel is what I need. I'll 1000% buy that entire kit you just posted, for both sides.

There another noise that happens in strong crosswinds and they have come out with a revised door seal. It literally sounds like a kazoo.

Ohhhh the little toy we annoyed our parents with as kids. YES. My truck sounds like a Kazoo on the freeway, especially during crosswinds, and it's loud AF.

I push on the window (from the inside while driving) near the red in the photo below and it stops. OK. Awesome. I need the revised door seal soon, cuz it's real bad. Thanks man! Do you have a specific link or product #?

Also, check out this potential super cheap fix.. He shows where to put it, which puts more pressure on the weather strip seal and prevents the howl and kazoo noise. Might try this before buying all of Toyota's stuff.

Get the TSB door weather stripping. 100% effective. Sorry, don't have the P/N's off the top of my head but i've completed the upgrade and its super easy and worth the money.

If it's a TSB shouldn't Toyota cover it. Or no, it's too late or the TSB expired long ago? It looks like they're like $50-60 each, and we need 4 of em.

I don't think OEMs cover TSBs. And for you four door guys i'm not sure if it's all four doors that need replacing or just the fronts. And yes, I think I paid around $60/each for mine.

You're conflating TSBs and recalls. Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) are not recalls. Warranty Extensions (e.g. 2nd gen Tacoma frame replacements) are not recalls either.

TSBs are just a notification from the manufacturer to their dealer network that they've identified a concern and [typically] have a solution for it. If you're still under factory warranty the TSB should be covered. There is no onus on the dealer/manufacturer to pay for a TSB remedy if the vehicle is out of factory warranty. TSBs typically do not expire, but do get superseded if new developments are made with that issue.

Recalls, on the other hand (from the NHTSA website): "A recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle, equipment, car seat, or tire creates an unreasonable safety risk or fails to meet minimum safety standards." Recall costs for the consumer are covered by the manufacturer. Recalls do not expire, and because they're legit safety concerns DMVs are starting to withhold registration renewals if recalls are open, in order to force them to get performed.

I know y'all like to toss those terms about indiscriminately here on TW, but they truly are different and misusing them only leads to more confusion/misdirected angst. Knowledge is power.

Update. This didn't work. Don't waste ur time/money. Didn't test at high speeds on the freeway, but regular daily driving was awful, swirly, and noisy. Plus doors were WAY too tight to close with ease.

    No go for me

And that's for the replacement door seals?
