    Morning all:
Tough night fishing, 1 small walleye out of the river and a nice brown trout, then went to the lake and managed 1 keeper walleye and Jim had a striper on that we lost at the net, figured time to quit!
We need to cross a toll bridge at the river, was 20 cents years ago for the truck and boat trailer if using purchased tokens, then $2.00 for the truck and boat trailer, tonight it was $5.00, $3.00 for the truck and $2.00 for the trailer, :spending: :bucket:

    Good morning folks!!!

Added 80 pounds of salt to the pool and started the heater - then realized towards the end of the day that the solar cover needs to be cleaned before putting it on the pool so I shut the heater down again. I need to drop the Ph, yet and get the chlorinator running and it should be good. Of course, I'm out ot Ph reducer so it's back to the pool store for me.

Grass cutting day. Stay safe out there!!

When we redid the kitchen, 4 and a half years ago, I had the contractor do everything except paint the kitchen, powder room and laundry room. Glad I did too. Two weeks into the rebuild I herniated a disc and was on the couch for the next two months. Cost a lot more than the budget allowed due to problems uncovered during the demolition. Worth the cost in the long run.

I have had decent luck on Marketplace. I sold close to $400 worth of stuff and used the cash to help pay for the Weber pellet grill.

Today is take it easy day. Going to do a general clean of the outside cooking area and the grills. Dinner tonight is spatchcocked chicken unless the wife wants something else. Yesterday was gardening work till about 1:30. Took two flags over to the Boy Scouts for disposal then grilled up some beef tenderloin steaks for dinner on the Weber pellet grill. Used a newly purchased set of GrillGrates for the reverse sear.

Mornin' all... Drove the new wheel bearing around to a bunch of yard sales yesterday and the truck seems good to go. So I think I'll head up to Deadwood tomorrow to play some poker. Gotta finish the new patio today so I can put the chain link back up in the corner of the back yard before I go. Oh, and I gotta mow the lawn too. (grumble) Busy day.

    Good Morning Folks.
Well, didn't get started on the kitchen demo yesterday. The fella building the cabinets and his installer are coming this week and we are going to see how much the installer wants to demo or at least what he needs me to do. If he is too much money, I will commence demo after they leave.
Have a great day folks and be safe.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch People! A grey and wet morning again. Going to try something in the greenhouse if it stops dripping, and probably more garage cleaning.

They charge you more at the bridge, because your truck is nicer Carl.

I had no resistance at all Tom - ordered that Masterbuilt 560, shelves, and cover last night. Supposed to be here next Friday for me to build. There's something to do!

Last kitchen remodel was in the 90's Ken. I barely remember stripping out that 70's junk, but I do remember our cabinet builder going slower and slower as completion came. Wife keeps threatening to put a new finish on the wood, and it will be fine again. When I make her garage space.... Paid for that with my first big bonus. Two years later, the CEO himself banned me from bonuses, and put me on the "executive compensation" plan, which got me a little of nothing. You'd think they'd be happy doubling sales for my stuff three years in a row!

    Truck? :notsure:

    Breakfast calls.....

Good morning everyone!! Great pics, Rob! The beauty of that part of the world is just breathtaking.

I cut and picked up the clippings yesterday, watered Lynn's plants and flowers she has in the old farm house garage that is her temporary greenhouse, then watched the Lackawanna College commencement. The hot air balloon company I crew for was hoping to get a flight in yesterday evening but the weather didn't cooperate. Maybe tomorrow evening.

I need to pick up the new door for the greenhouse at Lowe's this morning and then grab some Ph reducer at the pool store on the way home. I've got to clean off the pool's thermal cover, too. Might just give the truck a bath afterward...or tomorrow. :D The beauty of retirement.

    Be safe out there!

    Morning.
    Leaking toilet flange repair today.
    I hope.
    Second time in 3 years.
Tile was put down and the flange was never spaced.
So got spacers and “the right stuff” silicone.
    Hope the toilet isn’t cracked.
Then if I can get it fixed going to reinforce the floor from below.
I have some big people sitting on that poor thing once in a while.
So, it’s a crap shoot (tee hee) this morning..

This is one on those jobs that can go so very wrong and require 10 trips to the hardware store.

I feel your pain. Wife wants new vinyl in her bathroom, plus she would like a 2" taller toilet. No prob.. I saw they have a "wax ring" that can be reused now, which I would like to use. That way, I could r&r the toilet now, and again down the road when vinyl goes in. Anyone have any experience with a reuseable seal for a standard PVC toilet flange?

Good Morning Cool Old Dudes & Susan :hattip:
Slow shift tonight...it seems I did all the work for Monday's flights last night. For the first time this year we're caught up on site resupply missions which means two things:
    1) no missions in weather delay; back to a "normal" flow with food deliveries Monday and Wednesday and flights Tuesday and Thursday...feels awkward as the fickle witch fickles wildly thru the Winter months.
    2) Summer might actually be upon us ... I can hear her laughing as I type that.

Hope to do some tire chores this morning before I rack out. Two new tires for one of the trailers. Have an ATV tire dismounted cleaned and remounted; solve a slow leak issue I suspect is a dirty bead seal. And try to rundown a single tire sale on craiglist that matches the new tire size I put on Stitch so I'll have a matching same size spare. That should fill a morning well enough.

    Be safe, healthy, and happy.

    Respect :oldglory: GBA

I have one of those there now.
I have a new one in a box
When I pull it I’ll see if I can figure why it’s leaking

Thank you, Foster, Mike. I saw this, and it also gets some bad reviews. I may go to a local plumbing supply place, talk to an old-timer there, see what he would recommend. This is the very reason I haven't changed the toilet yet. Or, I suppose I could just use a new wax ring each time. There's no issues with previous leaks, uneven floor, etc. I hate water leaks. I'm sure I will be down in the basement looking up at the connection for a year, before I can trust it, haha.
