Mess with him. Ask him how long you have to wait to commit suicide before his credit life pays off the truck and sends your widow a check for the remaining finance charges.

Eat a bunch of garlic bread before going to the dealer. Scoot your chair up close to the desk and mouth breathe/talk a lot.

Bet he tries to get you out quick.

eta- Or shart yourself and tell him you need to sign & get home RFN.

Life is only difficult if you make it that way. Tell him no and move on. If you can't do that, shit your pants. He'll speed things up.

Experience in Taking Delivery: In a few words: Much better than expected!

I decided to be my usual nice (LOL) self and not be a prick with a chip on his shoulder. The Finance Manager was a good guy, with a daunting stack of folders on his desk for all the deals he would be closing Saturday and this week. I explained that as a retiree I'm trying to keep the monthly payments as low as possible and that I'm not inclined to take an extended warranty because of my lifetime experience and never needing one. I let him do his job and explain the "Driver Value" packs that the dealership offers.

As we wrapped up, I thanked him for taking the time to explain the different packages and for not pushing them on me. I also told him that he didn't fit the image for the "typical" Finance Manager. Lastly, I asked for his card and said I'd leave a positive review when I get the Toyota Survey.

Validation: I accidentally left my portfolio containing all my pre-sale copies in the Finance Manager's office, who had my salesman call me to come back and pick its up. I wonder how that would have played out if I were an A-hole?

A female friend wanted to buy a new camry from a local toyo dealership in May 2020, and asked for my help. I like helping friends and family get good prices on vehicle. This was my ~15th vehicle negotiation.

I brought along a case of beer and party sized bags of chips. . Dealership staff didn't care at all. I wasn't driving, and they wanted a sale. Took about 5-6 hours to get the deal done. The experience is what you make it.

She got a brand new 2021 Camry SE for 23.5K out the door, and I had a blast helping her.

    Yeehaw brother. Enjoy your truck.

I just wonder how many of us took the survey and complained how these dealer employees waste too much time pushing their extended warranties rather than explaining all the tech features and how to operate them. I know i did.

I didn't read 7 pages of replies but for the extended warranty they're trying to get you on the spot and feel like you need to make a decision right then and there.

Ask "how long do i have to make this decision?" And when they say "you have until the 3/36 is up" then just reply thanks you will think about it.
