When I was changing my oil I noticed the right inside CV boot is torn completely and grease is slung all over!! It’s been about 6 months since I lifted it! Already chewed off a set of front tires too but I believe I have that corrected! If I replace the boot, I’m sure it will happen again? So is there any suggestions to remedy this?? I’m considering removing the lift kit because it’s still under warranty so to speak! I turn wrenches for a living and the last thing I need is to be working on my fairly new truck all the time!!
    Appreciate your feedback!!

Look into the boot slide mod. This will help the cv boot fins stop touching each other and in turn reduce wear which might have been the cause of your torn boot.

As others have mentioned, the boot slide will work, I’ve done it on my old 2019 and my new 2021. Both the inner boots were just touching, I used marine grade clamps with smooth edges so you don’t cut into boot.

With the boot in its normal position, measure out 3/8” and mark that edge with masking tape, painters tape, etc. Move the boot edge out to the tape edge and clamp it with MCMASTER-CARR 5574K16 - SS SMOOTH-BAND WORM-DRIVHOSE AND TUBE CLAMP.
Don’t over tighten the clamp, that’s your call, leave the tape in place as a sight guide to determine if the boot has moved.

    Happy trails !

Buddy of mine did a rough country 3'' lift on his 2019 trd. After a year of all sorts of drivability, and vibration issues, he removed it all back to stock. Now miss's the cool look going through town, but has said the truck performs 300% better.

I always appreciate these threads. They help me keep my suspension stock. For now.

Could remember my buddies when it had the 3'' lift and 33'' mud tires...looked cool riding around shopping centers, but rode like crap compared to my stock tacoma.

I’ve always found that not doing what you don’t know or understand, will have the best results. On the other hand, doing your due diligence before tearing into a project will enhance the outcome.
