Anyone out there knows of a quality brand ring and pinion for my Tacoma? Blew out the rear differential ring and pinion. Broke many teeth on the ring. 2015 TDR Off Road 4X4, 4.11 gears & electric actuator. Not sure if the ring is 8" or 8.4?" If anyone knows a quality name brand ring and pinion kit, please share you knowledge with me. My Tacoma is no pavement queer. Often I am in the mountains year around. I do not beat this truck although it may appear that way but I just use the heck out of it. I was simply pulling a small utility trailer on an incline at my property when I switched to lockers. After a little bit I hear and felt a loud pop. Then I noticed the grinding. Sucks! I love to hang on to this truck for another 5 years. This Toyota is by far the toughest...bestest truck I have every owned! Like all things...shit happens. lol Thanks folks.

I have used both Nitro and Sierra gear sets. you should have the 8.4 if you have a 2015 4.0L

If you have the e-locker, 8.0.

Yes, it would be a 8" ring. I do have electric lockers. Thank you. Before I rebuild I am seeking others in put to what is the better, the best ring and pinion I can install. Need something durable and strong. I use this truck and often use 4Hi...not so much 4Lo. But, I do use that at times. Love this little truck. By far the best truck I have ever owned. Thanks you.
