    Just curious if anyone knows if you can swab a 3rd gen shift knob to a 2nd gen manaul?

    I'm assuming probably not? I own a 2nd gen manual but love the feel of the 3rd gen automatic one.

    Automatic and Manual are two different sized threads. I'm pretty sure the Automatic threaded hole is much smaller.

    Short answer. No they are not interchangeable.
