I took my sliders off because they were starting to get rusty. They were in much worse shape than I thought. So was the frame. They’ve been on my truck for almost 4 years.
I was hoping to have the sliders blasted and powder coated, but there’s too much corrosion. This was after I cleaned them up.

My plan is to use a brass brush to knock the rust off the frame, then hit it with Rustoleum rust reformer. I’m also thinking a couple coats of cosmoline spray would be a good idea before the new sliders go on. If you guys have any advice, I’m all ears.

I’d use an epoxy enamel spray paint or POR-15 type paint and let it dry per instructions before reassembly. Wipe down with acetone before using the rust reformer.

Little this. Little that 4x4 Swap’d PreRunner
Bummer. Guessing that Bolt on sliders require that runner length that can hold moisture. I’d wire wheel/clean up, hit it with some paint and some frame rust preventer between the plate and frame when you bolt it back up.
