Looking at ordering up some more S2 Pro Work Scene lights. The two pairs I currently have are with the clear lens and work scene reflector. I may be wrong, but my understanding was the difference between the S2 spot and the S2 work scene (because they look by all appearances identical from first glance) was in the reflector shape.

The new lights come with the diffused lens. Don't match what I have.

Question is, are the new S2 work scene reflectors the same as the old ones, and if I threw on clear lenses I could expect the same output / work scene lighting as with the older style?

    Nope.

BD went to a construction where all of the reflectors are the same, and the difference is now just in the lens.

    Pics of your old lights?
BD uses lenses to change their throw, that's kind of their thing.

They used to do it differently for their work/scene pattern. If you had an older S2 you would be able to discern it with the naked eye from a spot pattern light until you kicked it on. Different reflector design.

Sweet, so if you put a work lens on a work reflector? 2x the work!
