I have a 2017 sport, I noticed that the power steering is low when cold and hot with no leaks. My question is does anyone know what fluid is added at the factory? I would like to add some but the manual states to use ATF but that is not what is there right now, I’m assuming standard power steering fluid is what they put in when it was build. Obviously I don’t want to mix 2 different fluids together and I would like to avoid doing a flush just to bring it back to the correct level.

I tried searching TW but didn’t find any useful information.

    thanks

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
It's just un-tinted Dexron ii /iii ATF. ATF is tinted for easier identification in case of leaks. So as long as you get the right Dexron ATF, mixing won't be an issue.

I have been cycling out my ps fluid for the last few weeks. Suck it out and add fresh atf, drive a few days and repeat. It's easy and I had a qt of atf I wouldn't use otherwise. Mine was always on the low cold line before so I needed to add some.
